Baller 454SS Posted December 18, 2009 Baller Share Posted December 18, 2009 Was wondering if anyone has tried this ski I know its a little late in the year but was wondering how this ski would compare to the S1.
bmiller3536
I would imagine the ski does not compare at all to the S1.The S1 is designed for advanced slalom and the Coefficient is designed for beginner slalom
Baller 454SS Posted December 18, 2009 Author Baller Share Posted December 18, 2009 Really a beginners ski, it costs over 800 dollars and has the same core as the A1. It isn't in HO's syndicate line but just by reading the ski's description on HO's website It sounds like it has a lot of the same design as the A1 and S1. I was wondering how it might compare to something like the S1 or Senate Carbon.
Baller HO 410 Posted December 18, 2009 Baller Share Posted December 18, 2009 I have no idea when HO started shipping that ski. It's part of the 2010 lineup, and is not being closely associated with their top skis. I would not expect there to be a ton of skier feedback yet. Sometimes you can slot by price. This one matches up with the D3 X5.
Baller ForrestGump Posted December 19, 2009 Baller Share Posted December 19, 2009 From the description(a carbon layup over a pvc core), I'd say the XSL could be a competitor for the Senate C. Lapoint isn't designing beginners skis there.
bmiller3536
Well, there is the coefficient x or the coefficient x/sl The coefficient x being $600 and coefficient x/sl being $820 per HO website and looks like the only difference is what the core of the ski is made of. A1/S1 for advanced skiers -38+ Coefficient X/SL for intermediate skiers up to -35 Coefficient X for beginner course skiers Sorry, what I meant by beginner was course Beginner or someone that can run the course up to about -
h2odawg79
If it is a rival for the Senate "C" , -even though I'm Blind in one eye and can't see out of the other, I can still see a few Hundred reason$ to just stay with the exellence of the proven Sen. "C"...
