Nate easily looks like the best skier I've ever seen, but......it's hard to bet against Will in a tournament of this magnitude. Every now and then somebody comes out of nowhere to take this.

Really bad conditions.... Willy.

Can not count out T-Gas. Larkin is a fun dark horse in the rough.

We do no know what water skiing's "Justin Bieber" (Smith) does in the rough.

I look for a dark horse to win as the conditions are not going to be like that of a mill pond.

My dark horse list and not in any order.

Dan Ardvarko : 2@10.25

Adam sledghammer : 4@10.25

Pipe Miranda: 1@10.25

A Larkin: Shown he can get it done on rougher conditions

Jon Travers: Masters winner, another that got it done on rough conditions

What's up with Trent's ranking? .75 @ 39? He scored 2 @ 41 at my L the first weekend in June and scored similar at Bennett's a few weeks earlier. I thought the cutoff for scores was late June. Maybe I'm wrong on that point.

Rough water? Pressure? I'll go with Willy, T-gas, or Aaron. Thomas really doesn't get the pub he deserves. He doesn't have the style that make you go "oooh", but he gets it done. All three are world travelers so the location won't be a big deal.

JT is a wild card. Smith would be a great story, but Russia is along way from home for a guy without that much world tourney experience. Should be fun.

I'm going to go off the board and say Chris Rossi - based on the assumption that the scores are going to be low and he's about due. Also, he strikes me as being a little less pampered than the others, so he may travel better in adverse conditions. All bets are off if Andy Schleck tests positive.

Note that the Gold Rush didn't count in the Elite rankings. I have no idea why.

I dont know, just because everone is on the Parrish, Willy,Nate band wagon I considerd JT and Larkin a bit dark horse. Still liking Adam and Danny probably because I ski with them quite offten.
