  1. I switched to getting up with both palms down. This helps keep the ski away from the handle
  2. The pan is 45deg/sec My calculations indicate it needs 60-67deg/sec pan. Specs also indicate a tracking distance of 2-30feet. Would need a 60foot tracking distance to film 15off. Specs are close though.
  3. No binding is completely safe. I was on RS-1s then Stradas until I hit the 3 ball and severely strained my left/rear ankle. Always kept the laces snug but not tight. Front foot came out rear foot didn't. When the ski rolled it rolled it my ankle. I've been on Reflex front with r-style rear for two years and have had no foot/leg injuries but it could still happen.
  4. I have extras. We don't use them anymore. Not sure what they would cost to ship from SC to Orlando. I'll check how many I have and get back to you.
  5. @MattP I tried all 3 of those with no luck.
  6. Thanks John. Why was I not able to post the picture?
  7. file:///C:/MSOffice%20Data/Pictures/handle%20guard.jpg
  8. Trying to post a picture but can't get it to work
  9. Springs should be replaced every 2-3 years
  10. @MISkier its 0.0625 thick, 1/16". The heading is right the tech specs are wrong. I'll try to remember to take some pictures today. I've made about 5 of them and given away material for another 4 or 5. I have yet to have a hole pull through.
  11. Order a piece of this and make 8 of them for $5.26 http://www.grainger.com/product/22JL63?cm_mmc=EMT-_-OpenOrder-_-WillCall-_-SKU&RIID=131706586&GID=&mid=OpenOrders_WillCall Works great. Very strong
  12. 68' V-type. With my Reflex front boot I found that I could position it at 30 1/8 of 29 7/8. Back was way better. I'm not finished setting up my fin but currently 6.869, 2.490, 0.728
  13. Most slalom boxes are 10x8. That difference seems small but I have found that 10x10 vs 10x8 makes a big difference in price.
  14. @gmut The easy answer is yes. I actually use an EZ fin tool and measure to the very back of the ski but I initially determine the difference between the two points. I found the difference on my V-Type to be 0.1 On the Vapor the difference is 0.080
  15. I have found that adding tip makes the "On" side on my vapor turn better. Not what I expected. Trying lengthening your fin by 0.010 or 0.015.
  16. We are selling our Bubble Buoys. Used one season. ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Ski_Course&postid=32364 $200 for everything and I'll pay shipping. The maintenance is higher with the Bubble Buoys and we are on a public lake so we have to deal with fishing boats and jet skis running over buoys. I believe the bubble buoys are safer though.
  17. @MS I believe I have an extra. email me jamneely at yahoo dot com
  18. @londonskier your numbers are pretty close to Rossi's recommendation, (just a little less tip). My first thought is to try more tip in an effort to get the ski to turn your offside better and cross the wake with a stronger edge. Try increasing length to 6.875-6.880. What line lengths are you running?
  19. I agree based on your numbers. Go forward 0.010
  20. @londonskier What ski are you on and what are your numbers? Typically I make changes 0.005-0.010 at a time. The issue can have several different causes and you may need more tip rather than less.
  21. Two possible reasons. Too little tip or too much tip. The standard issue/solution will say reduce tip but if your offside turn is not finishing (not enough tip) you'll get the same result because your don't get into a strong pulling position. Based on your fin settings, it looks like you need to reduce tip.
  22. Pounds per square inch. Radar gives the square inches for each size as well as a recommended weight range. I realize the calculation is not exact because we don't put the entire ski in the water. The difference between long and short skis is probably greater than shown.
