  1. We have a set on a public lake since March. We've had one get cut up and needed a dome replacement. Lots of jet ski, fishing boats, pontoons, etc. in our cove. I've been surprised by how little maintenance they have required. Color seems to hold as good as other buoys.
  2. It's not a name brand, but similar to a goode
  3. Gary, Don't give up. The more tournaments you ski, the more comfortable you will become. The only way to become a good tournament skier is to ski more tournaments.
  4. I had a concussion in the course 30 years ago. Hit my face on the water. I couldn't remember the name of anyone in the boat. I wasn't sure about anything for like 4 or 5 hours. Only concussion I ever had and I played a lot of other sports. I think the water was harder back then.
  5. @Wish Looks like this http://www.nautiqueparts.com/waterstrainercomplete.aspx
  6. How long since your impeller was replaced?
  7. You can choose to ski at 36 but you will be scored at 34
  8. I bought a set of 2011 Lyrics for my daughters (23 and 20 yrs old) to use. They say the comfort and performance is better than the animals.
  9. @eddie roberts jr. Is the layup of the 2012 and 2011 Strada the same?
  10. Here's what Radar says about the Yellow(2012) Strada. A new 45 degree torsional carbon layup has made the Strada more dynamic off the second wake and sturdier at the finish of the turn.
  11. It's an eight buoy course but you skip the first two buoys coming in.
  12. My first coach (circa 1978) used oil from his forehead. Ham you probably remember Jimmy Durham.
  13. Easy, it took me a couple of hours.

    Slow boat.

This goes along with DW's comments. Trying putting transmission in nuetral then turn the prop by hand. If you are unable to turn the prop then something is binding the shaft.
  15. The good news is on the Strada you can set it at 7 to 9 or take it off and you probably won't feel the difference. At least that's my experience.
  16. @One_ski Are you sure it's vibration. I have a Kodak ZX5 playsport that picks up electrical noice when mounted on the trakker. I just sent it back to the maunfacturer.
  17. @usaski1 how hot were your 1st segment times with SG?
  18. @Onside135 You make some valid points. When I said "better" I was responding to RazorSkier1's comment "I'm having a hard time thinking how zbox could make the boat pull any better. My SG is so perfectly dialed in." I find Stargazer easier to ski behind. The pull is more consistent, less reving of the engine, fewer surprises, etc. I ski pretty well with A1, B1, and C1 with the Zbox or Zero-off but will choose SG mode this afternoon. As I get close to a tournament I will pick a z-setting in the hope that it will help me ski better at the tournament. I'm not completely convinced that the z-box settings are representative of the zero-off settings based on what I hear and feel when I'm driving. Perhaps we just haven't got it dialed in yet. There are a number of variables to adjust and the combinations would be in the 100s. There is even a variable to adjust when C, B, A react so that C would become B, B would become A and A would become whatever is beyond A. The buoy times we get with SG are just as good as the ones we get with Z-box
  19. SG is a better pull without Zbox. You may end up like us, selecting SG on the Zbox
  20. DanE Check this out http://skiall6.com/forum/8-equipment-talk/581-ho-exo-bar-and-its-flex
  21. Yes, It may be just me but I couldn't ski with the EXOs and adapter plate. The ski is definitely stiffer. I love the fit, quality and design of the EXOs.
