Baller jimbrake Posted September 19, 2011 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2011 Are we supposed to name the sites? I don't know first two. Third one looks like the mystery lakes just south of Pleasant Oak Ski Club (CA). Fourth one is East Winchester (CA). Are these all "former" ski sites? Baller rodltg2 Posted September 19, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted September 19, 2011 Dont know the names of the first two. The first one is in Orland, but I just was informed that it was drained , dredged and refilled. The second is in Red Bluff and I know nothing else about it. You are correct on the bottom two. No game intended , just bored at work crusing google earth and dreaming of lake ownership someday!
Baller Chef23 Posted September 19, 2011 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2011 They could be ski sites in Texas that are dry.
Baller LakeOneSkier Posted September 19, 2011 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2011 Rod.. lake ownership is easy... all you have to do is come on down for a look! http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/131-Lago-Circle-Dr-N_Santa-Fe_TX_77517_M86763-23624?source=ig About 10 years ago I was flying into Sac and saw the two 'mystery' lakes south of Pleasant Oak. Drove around until I found them and asked the owner if I could ski on them. They said no, which was OK with me. They didn't look too good in person. Baller Boody Posted September 19, 2011 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2011 Very disturbing pics, each one paints a tragic picture. Gonna have nightmares now of our lake looking like that one day.
Baller kpickett Posted September 20, 2011 Baller Share Posted September 20, 2011 Rod, that Red Bluff lake has been for sale for a long time. It comes with a lot of property. My buddy looked at it, but the whole package was pretty expensive.
