Baller ral Posted March 21, 2012 Author Baller Share Posted March 21, 2012 Concrete construction. Wood is only for casting, it has a solid concrete foundation

Baller jimbrake Posted March 22, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 22, 2012 Ral - were you the structural? What are the seismic codes like there? Cutting edge or "your on your own"? I would assume pretty advanced given the seismicity and the last big event. I think a BOS event at your place sounds like a more-than-awesome idea. Pricey to get there, but I think it would be worth it. I think Richard and I just invited us all down.

Baller ral Posted March 23, 2012 Author Baller Share Posted March 23, 2012 @jimbrake, I am an Industrial engineer, so not really a true engineer... Calculations were done by a structural engineering company and, IMHO, using a WIDE margin... There is a s&¡t load of steel in there... Seismic codes are top notch here. Ballers are always welcome. For the moment, klindy, Brent, OB, Alberto Soares and Seth have made it. Still waiting for others that have promised like JD, MS, Chad
