Jobe Rogue First Ride

I took two sets on the Jobe Rogue today. Everyone thinks I am crazy for being on a new ski. What ever that is part of what I do around here.

 

The Jobe is a legit short line ski. I do not think I had the settings correct but was able to run 35s up and down the lake. It gets wide easy and makes space pretty well. I will need some rides and some tweaking to even out the turns but that should not take too long.

 

Considering that it costs $400 less then the better known skis, I am darn impressed.

I'd be curious to see your thoughts if you test the Jobe Rogue as well. There are a few top level European skiers on that ski although it is considered intermediate.

@Horton -- how does the ski sit in the water? A long, long time ago I skied on a Jobe and it seemed like it wanted to ride with the tip quite high. Of course, I skied differently 20 years ago than I do now, but just curious about the attitude of the ski as you ride it. I just watched their promo video and the ski looks like it is very tip high there too.

There stuff does look like a good value. The bindings look like the Radar Strada bindings anyone know if they work the same way?
