Baller aswinter05 Posted March 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 20, 2013 I've had the same Body Glove for 10 years. It's a shorty, but it's been a great investment over the years. If they still make 'em like they used to... they're quality.
Baller lcarnes Posted March 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 20, 2013 Camaro...warm and full movement. Can't beat it.

Baller_ The_MS Posted March 20, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted March 20, 2013 There are a ton of cold water swimsuits out there. My wife is on her 6th year of using a Aqua Sphere cold water swim suit and I am on my 3rd with no issues. They come in 3 weights for temps. Baller waterskigirl Posted March 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 20, 2013 As of today the word from Camaro on the arrival of Black Tec is mid April at the earliest :( bummer! I am thinking that they definately have a different opinion of spring than we do here in the US. A couple reminders...the new Black Tec long suit will be the only 2mm in that line, the shorty and top are 1mm. I did manage to get one more shippment of Titanium Monos/Shortys they are 2mm, I have all sizes now but this will be the last of them. I will post the actual arrival date for Black Tec on my site, as soon as I get it for those who are still interested.
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted March 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 20, 2013 Just ordered one of the 2mm Titanium Shortys from Robby this morning...At $150, that sounds like a great deal. With the Silver Eagle Vest and Titanium Wetsuit, I hope I don't look like a Large Seal !!! Well at least I'll be a Warm Seal.
Baller ral Posted March 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 21, 2013 @Ed_Johnson, I ordered 1 for me and 1 for a ski buddy as well. Sounds like a steal.
Baller kmenard Posted March 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 21, 2013 I have never tried a wet suit...but the ad in Waterski magazine has me convinced Camaro is pretty awesome.
Baller PatM Posted March 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 21, 2013 @Horton the Camaro as warm as a drysuit or so flexable and warm enough?

Dscholfield
Does anyone know how warm these suits are in 30-50 degree(F) water? When i see a suit that's only 1-2 mm thick that makes me a bit skeptical.
Baller ral Posted March 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 21, 2013 30 f is below freezing, unless you have salty water. Would recommend skating, not skiing at that temp...

Baller Fine409 Posted March 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 21, 2013 Anyone know when the Blacktec Top is going to be available? And any retailers that will be carrying it?
Baller waterskigirl Posted March 22, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 22, 2013 Black Tec update...straight from Camaro today! Black Tec Monos/Shortys should be to USA dealers by the week of April 8th, Full suits and tops not until May sometime :( bummer for spring getting kinda late! Remember if it mskes a difference to you... The Black Tec Shortys(and tops) are going to be 1mm, only the Black Tec full suit is 2mm. The Camaro Titaniums are the last of the long sleeve 2mm shortys. Appreciate the Baller support :) no more Larges here...anyone smaller or bigger you are still in luck!
coskier
Since the BlackTec is not available in time for spring is the 2mm speed skin a good second choice? or should I just wait for the blacktec? or is the 2mm titanium shorty a good/better choice than the speed skin? Baller OKSkier Posted March 31, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 31, 2013 Hi Just wondering if anyone has any experience with heavier camaro products for water that is below 50 degrees etc. our water is mid 40ish right now and we are in baggy drysuits. Thanks
Baller ral Posted March 31, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 31, 2013 I had a 4/3 Camaro and a 5/3. IMHO, not good for waterski. The 4/3 went to a friend and I used the 5/3 once. Warmer and more comfortable on a Oneill hybrid drysuit.
Baller ral Posted March 31, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 31, 2013 @Coskier, I have the speedskin (actually have 3, bought them on sale a while ago for almost nothing). Great suits and very flexible. However, they are just stitched, not glued. So the first impression when getting into the water is kind of more extreme. But after 1 min, it is Ok. I find the 1mm champion to be warmer. The speedskin is for sure less prone to damage.
Baller jedgell Posted March 31, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 31, 2013 Just ordered my Camaro 2mm shorty. Can't wait to try it out. Should be perfect for our 60 deg water.
Baller Brady Posted March 31, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 31, 2013 @Dscholfield We are skiing in 40 degree water now, and I will tell you, NO wetsuit will do the job at that temp. You will need a full dry suit in those temps. Partly because of the water, but in large part because of the wind chill.
Dscholfield
@Brady Ya that wind chill will get you, and so id agree its cold no matter what you have. I was more wondering then how the camaro, being only 2 mm in those temperatures, where Id regularly have 4-5mm. It's cold but you can make it work if your "committed". Baller_ The_MS Posted April 5, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted April 5, 2013 If you are skiing in 40F water in anything but a dry suit, you ought to be Committed. To the loony bin.
