Baller mwetskier Posted June 18, 2014 Baller Posted June 18, 2014 faq says it monitors battery life and automatically returns to launch site when it detects just enough power left to get there. alternately you can tell it to land right where it is when battery gets to low but that would probably be a bad choice for us. the important question would be what is the top speed. any thing short of 34 mph would make it less desirable.
Baller swaterkd Posted June 18, 2014 Author Baller Posted June 18, 2014 that is a good point, I would guess if the units speed didn't keep up it would still be able to pan the camera and still follow.
JJVDMZN Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MONwl_rBD1g HEXO+ 44mph prototype. According to gizmag.com the Airdog has a top speed of 40mph and a waterproof 'leash' As you say @swaterkd, I want one.
Baller mwetskier Posted June 19, 2014 Baller Posted June 19, 2014 44 mph is excellent but theres a very short battery life on the hexo+. the battery would be dead by the time i got my gloves and bindings on. maybe the way to shoot slalom for training is something like this with a power cord and tether combined so it hovers just above the tow boat and tracks the skier thru the course.
