Baller skihart Posted July 8, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 8, 2014 Well, my kids have finally decided that trick skiing looks like a lot of fun(of course). They found my old trick skis in the basement and want to start doing 360's and side slides. The skis are in decent shape but the bindings are holding on by a thread. I figure I can cut out some new binding pieces if I can find a source for sheet rubber. Anyone do this before and have an idea about what to buy and thickness? Baller MattP Posted July 8, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 8, 2014 @skihart nice ski! I'm sure the guys at Wiley's can get you what you need. Also they guys at Radar make an awesome trick ski for when the kids get hooked and want to flip!
Baller mmosley899 Posted July 8, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 8, 2014 @skihart Grainger.com sells sheets of rubber that you can cut to fit. Mike's Overall Binding USA Water Ski Senior Judge Senior Driver Senior Tech Controller

TylerR
I second @mmosley899 's comment about grainger.com also Wiley's will sell you sheets as well
Baller skihart Posted July 8, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted July 8, 2014 Wiley's is a great idea. I will check with them. I should have thought about Grainger as they seem to always have what I need for a project. The only problem with them is that I am unsure about which sheeting to buy. There are tons of thicknesses and different compositions. Wiley's are the experts in bindings and will know exactly what to get. I was also thinking of updating the bindings. Seems like a shame not keeping the skis semi original but I do remember those bindings offering next to no support. Thoughts on these Obrien bindings? http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=OBrien-X-9-Front-Plate-Ski-Binding&i=44178 http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=OBrien-Targa-Front-Lace-Plate-Ski-Binding&i=38344&r=view
Baller Chef23 Posted July 8, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 8, 2014 Definitely don't put new bindings on those. I would buy see for $60. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Trick&postid=28500. They have bindings and are way better skis.
