I've heard people mention that wakeboard boats damage shorelines, but I had no idea that this was what they were talking about.

@Horton‌ still waiting to hear the real story, ran aground 30ft from the tip of a peninsular. Possibly a distracted driver or night into terrain.

Clearly they folks in the X2 were racing the guy in the jon boat. It must have been dark and/or they hit land before before the X2 planed out. Guy in jon boat has no issue getting his boat back in the water so he just played along and parked his too.

The more I look at the pic, the more I think that was an intention attempt to beach it. Getting it back in the water will be fun!

A former colleague told me a story about a trip he took to one of the Arixona lakes. One of the guys in his group had borrowed a Ski Nautique 2001 from his brother. As I understand it, everyone moored their boats out in deep water because the water level would drop greatly overnight. The borrowing brother, however, assumed that the boat would be fine. He woke up to the boat sitting on rocks. Solution, he hooked a line to it and had someone drag it off the rocks with their boat. I have to assume that this ended in justifiable homicide.
