HO A3

That ski clearly failed in line with a pair of the inserts. Bummer. I assume that you were not injured, since you didn't say so.

Not sure how/if this helps you in Aussie land, but I have seen a few '14 A3's on ski-it-again and USA eBay (see below).

But maybe HO can help you out with some additional options.

I had an early one break at the front inserts last year.. Miami Nautique was great and switched it out. Not too many broken A3's from what I understand. I believe the I had that broke was built in early June of 2013. HO is a great company across the board.

thanks guys, the subsequent fall was a non event. It was a first for me thats for sure, very glad it did not occur on a wake crossing.

My local ski shop is great so it shouldn't be a problem. For a learner skier it has been fantastic, have just started running 32off passes on the A3.

I will go drop it off today and see what the outcome is.

@ToddL‌ thanks

@horton thank you for your kind offer - I will do.

@matthew‌ We will absolutely get you on a new ski! Our Distributor in Australia handles this the same as if you were here in the US.

Breakage in general, is something so rare that it's hard to put metrics on it...maybe something on the order of 1 in 5000 or more. PM me if you need any help facilitating the replacement.

@matthew pretty sure Skiers Edge (Wayne Ritchies) here in Melbourne are the distributors. I saw a guy snap a Monza years ago and replacement was no questions asked. Skiers Edge promote HO pretty hard and stand by them. If you need any help let me know as I live just down the road from them.

@rockdog thats great news, thankfully I can walk to my ski shop - not bad for a small town of about 500 people. Just dropped the A3 off this morning and was offered a loaner ski, while I wait for a replacement - reinforces to me why I have to continue to support my local Ski shop.

I also live in the Far North of Australia so any form of after sales service from a particular Ski brand is a big plus for me, and will drive my future purchases when buying equipment for my growing ski family.

Ham, just curious how many have you broken? Just wondering. I first saw you ski at Plum Nellie (may not have spelled that correct) in 1982 my first year of tournament skiing. I was just remembering your set at that tournament and thought you may have broken many over the years!

@Ham_Wallace‌ Those stupid broken fins in about 2000 got me started down the road to start CarbonFins and that lead to starting BallOfSpray. Darn you HO!

thank you HO and @savaiusini‌ a replacement A3 came today, this one has speed skin. The old one is going up on the wall of the shed. A lot of skiing ahead this week before our lake water level drops too low over summer, we can almost walk the course now.
