Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted January 7, 2015 Supporting Member Share Posted January 7, 2015 It's been 2ish years that the styles available were more varied and generally better than what you could make with the boat builder, but now the online boat builder has caught up! http://www.centurionboats.com/2015Builder/carbon-pro-single-package.html
Baller_ The_MS Posted January 7, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted January 7, 2015 We just got all the color tab samples for interior and exterior. I think you will see some cool color combos being built with the new line up.
Baller bishop8950 Posted January 7, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 7, 2015 The CP with the white rub rail looks good too. I dont see how to play wtih that in the builder.
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted January 7, 2015 Author Supporting Member Share Posted January 7, 2015 Ooh, does that mean their rub rail is NOT made of metal with screws sticking out everywhere as if trying to shred any boat that dares approach you? (Can you tell there's a pet peeve there? :) )
Baller waterskigirl Posted January 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 8, 2015 Finally... they finished that project! Love the white rail, check out our new 2015 with white rail!!! Although think it still has screws?
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted January 8, 2015 Author Supporting Member Share Posted January 8, 2015 That is beautiful. But I don't understand about white rail. Sure looks black to me. I'd be interested in that boat but pretty sure I'm not willing to pay enough to actually get it!
Baller 6balls Posted January 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 8, 2015 Wow not a green fan but that is sharp.
Baller MattP Posted January 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 8, 2015 @Than_Bogan It is white between the SS instead of black.
Baller oldjeep Posted January 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 8, 2015 I like that color scheme a lot more than I would have imagined. Very sharp. For folks who buy white trailers - do you tow much? I can't imagine trying to keep that thing clean.
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted January 8, 2015 Author Supporting Member Share Posted January 8, 2015 @6balls I am a big green fan, but there was a long time in there where companies either didn't offer green or only offered color combinations that made it seem like the green was trying to blind you. Although this green is bright, it looks super-sharp next to the white. Trying ... to ... resist ... temptation to go on and on about the human vision system's focus on contrast rather than absolute color ... Phew. Resisted. But bottom line: Gorgeous boat. Makes me think a little more seriously about shelling out some serious bucks for a new(ish) Carbon Pro, even though I'm pretty comfortable with the '07 Nautique (with ZO) that I bought fairly recently. Baller Skoot1123 Posted January 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 8, 2015 "Green with envy!" Absolutely LOVE that color combo. This boat absolutely POPS!! @than_bogan - agree completely on the contrast statement. Not only color but texture - carbon fiber against the smooth white gelcoat!! Baller swc5150 Posted January 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 8, 2015 @oldjeep We've had a number of white trailers and they hid dirt way better than the black, blue and red we've owned. Black is hands down the worst.
Baller oldjeep Posted January 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 8, 2015 We have winter and road construction for seasons. Tar is black like my trailer ;)
Baller Kelvin Posted January 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 8, 2015 The Houston dealer had a green metalflake with the white rubrail at the boat show. It was sharp! Can't wait to take it on its maiden voyage in a couple of weeks.
Baller waterskigirl Posted January 9, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 9, 2015 Thanks for all the great comments! We have had blue, blue metal flake, red, silver, black as the main colors, we wanted to step out of the box for a change... after all different strokes for different folks! Good news sounds like we won't die with this one Doug and Paul would never let me hear the end of it! For those looking at the boat builder we have cooked up another unique color scheme for this seasons back up boat. Could be epic, stay tuned! Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted January 9, 2015 Author Supporting Member Share Posted January 9, 2015 @Horton Pretty sharp. This "generation" is far prettier than the original limited color options. It's too bad a small company I co-founder about a decade ago didn't pan out, because it's possible to get almost exactly the colors we used for our logo. It's not a terrific looking boat, but if I had made millions off +7 Systems, I might have gone for it anyhow. As far as a boat I would actually design for myself, I keep coming back to exactly what waterskigirl did with hers!
