Baller drewski32 Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 For the tournament skiers out there, what is your max speed for your division?

Members OTF
Why isn't light speed an option?????
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 I'm still a young guy ripping at full speed! I slow it down to 34 to learn a new pass sometimes which is very helpful.
h2oski
Older and slower!
Baller_ MISkier Posted January 27, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted January 27, 2015 I do still set it on 36 occasionally and actually prefer it. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller thager Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 @Horton Answered poll. @Ms knows what I am talking about and it is ON topic. Ski is part of the word skiing. : )

Baller ALPJr Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 34 behind the PP equipped boat. About 34 behind the others.

Baller chris_logan Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 Already dreaming of M3 and only 34 mph. My body will surely appreciate it.
Baller DmaxJC_ski Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 I'm old and not very good. Starting to figure out what my dad meant when he used to say " I wouldn't do that, your gonna regret it when you get older"
Baller Spuddy Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 Perfect speed, although I do sometimes miss the panic and scramble that 36 brings!!
Baller jayski Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 would like to ski 35mph though...M3/4/5 should be that speed

Baller Chef23 Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 27, 2015 My son moved to 36 last summer that is fast. I skipped most of my adult 36 mph years.
Baller 6balls Posted January 28, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 28, 2015 36 was a riot. I did think when I dropped to 34 I would kick some butt...turns out line length physics trump speed physics to some degree on the short side.
Baller ozski Posted January 28, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 28, 2015 55 is the correct speed on this side of the pond ladies.
Baller swc5150 Posted January 28, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 28, 2015 Non-ballers / skiers would be shocked at the world of difference 2mph makes. 34 is comfy; 36 is blazing, although fun for a rush once in a while.
gt2003
Hmmm, the gf got a little sidetracked this summer and low 40's is pretty freakin concerning. Stay straight behind the boat...DON'T MOVE!
popof
Anywhere between 32 and 34, most of the time it varies throughout my set. Starting at 32-ish (thanks ZeroOff) and bumping up to 33 and 34 towards the end of the set. My goal is to ski only 34 this season, work in progress ;)
Baller drewski32 Posted January 29, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted January 29, 2015 When I first started skiing at 36 I thought it was outrageous that anyone should have to ski at that speed. Now I wouldn't have it any other way.
Baller GAJ0004 Posted January 29, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 29, 2015 I still free ski at 36 MPH in the spring. The extra torque is great for conditioning.
Baller auskier Posted January 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 30, 2015 I can see it happening that when im 34 years old the age brackets will change forcing me to ski 36 until im 40...
