Administrators Horton Posted March 29, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 29, 2015 I packed up my Camaro Modetec suits today. They kept me warm all winter but now it is time for trunks and Lycra. Thank you Camaro for keeping me on the water through the winter. Baller_ MISkier Posted March 30, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted March 30, 2015 I hesitated to say this, but, based on recent press, the trunks and lycra might not be needed in the future. Well, unless there is a drastic change in precipitation in the next year or so. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.

Baller pgmoore Posted March 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2015 It's funny how different people look forward to different things, depending on where you're skiing. Baller chris_logan Posted April 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 1, 2015 @MattP if it makes you feel any better, I'm in the same boat. My Camaro products have only been moved when rearranging my ski equipment on the peg board. Slalom & Jumpers haven't moved since November, and I still don't have a binding on my trick yet. Something has to change and soon, I may sneak the first set in this weekend down south.
Baller Bbrandau Posted April 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 3, 2015 This thread is really annoying in that I used my Camaro suit for the first time yesterday ... Really happy to finally be on the water again here in Delaware. The suit was great. Almost as warm as my full drysuit but 100x more comfortable. I will be getting a lot of use out this thing ... Highly recommend for those that have longer than desired winter/sping seasons!
Administrators Horton Posted April 3, 2015 Author Administrators Share Posted April 3, 2015 I confess I used a Camaro warm top last night. Did not really need it but is is just comfortable. Baller ToddL Posted April 21, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 21, 2015 My dry suit never saw water this winter season. Camaro all the way. 3mm full for the cold stuff and Blacktec 1.5mm for the not so cold water.
Baller PatM Posted April 24, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 24, 2015 @ToddL I just got a Blacktec full suit. How cold can it be and still use it? Baller MrJones Posted April 24, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 24, 2015 As the water has warmed I stopped using my new Camaro suit and brought out some other short and long sleeve tops. I told the wife yesterday that the Camaro made all my other stuff seem like a joke. I'm gonna have to see what else they have in the way of shirts, etc. Great gear. Baller ToddL Posted April 24, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 24, 2015 At 50, you won't the toasty warm, but you will also not be uncomfortably cold. And the freedom of movement and lack of drag is amazing.

Baller Marco Posted April 24, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 24, 2015 Today was my first day in the Camaro for the season. Air and water in the low to mid 50's. Forty five minutes working on the course and a short ski ride, and the only cold things were my face, hands and feet.
Baller schafer Posted April 24, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 24, 2015 This past week the ice flow has started to exit alberta. Water was 52° and I decided that I would skip the drysuit and just wear shorts and my blacktec top. It was cold. But very bearable. Helps when the air is in the 60's. In the fall I think I will still need the drysuit when the air is cold as well. But camaro rocks.
Baller tjm Posted April 24, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 24, 2015 Today the water was 50 and the air was 53. Definitely drysuit conditions. I use the 115 degree rule when it comes to my camaro long, it seems to be a good gauge
countymountie
My next purchase to go with the shortie. It's hard to focus on skiing when my drysuit is chocking me to death. For the price of getting a larger neck seal, I can get a Camaro.

Baller Marco Posted April 26, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 26, 2015 Camaro for sure, unless you plan on skiing in water in the 40's. The 2mm Blacktech is really comfortable. It fits like a second skin, and doesn't have the choking neck cuff like drysuits do.
Administrators Horton Posted April 26, 2015 Author Administrators Share Posted April 26, 2015 @MISkier I am trying to keep that subject off the site.
