I don't know anything about this product. But I do know that way back when my family raced boats, we and a lot of people experimented with bottom texture to get speed out of the boats. Smooth bottoms were slower and you used more fuel/hr. We tried everything from micropolished to pebble textures. A 100mph boat would pick up 5-7% when we went to what then was being called speed lacquer, which was a microtextured surface. It felt like 400 grit sandpaper. Maybe technology has changed to reduce surface tension and increase speed/economy under power.
