Baller NewPassion Posted August 10, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2017 Hi everyone, I have just started the mini course to get ready for the standard slalom course. I am 6'4", 220 LBS and own a 69" HO TX 2017. I go 28 miles, 15 and 22 off on the mini course and I was wondering if I should go faster (30 miles and up) considering my height, weight and the ski size (not that I pretend that I'll be comfortable with more speed and I know HO's does not recommend over 34 miles for TX). I'll appreciate your feedback.
Baller ricar116 Posted August 11, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 11, 2017 I ski 15 off 28 poorly on full course. I ski a 69 outlaw and a 2013 71 triumph 6'5" 235. If I were buying a ski right now it would be a 69 TX. I would think you would be in the sweet spot for that ski. Going faster will make the balls come that much faster. I think your ski should be functioning fine at that speed. Get some instruction and keep working. You will get there
gt2003
Gradually work your speed up as you become comfortable. No reason you "HAVE" to go faster. Ski a few passes at your comfortable speed then maybe try 1-2 mph faster.
