Baller ROBOT Posted August 20, 2019 Baller Share Posted August 20, 2019 Building on the DNA of the 2019 GT-R, our 2020 flagship ski boasts epic efficiency, maneuverability and acceleration throughout the course. However, a lot of ski companies claim speed, control, and stability — promising effortless, polished passes. With today’s advanced technology, there’s no doubt that each brand delivers on their pledge. But in an era with so much talent and battles to the last buoy, it’s about the ski's performance at your last pass. We took a leap of faith and deviated from the conventional ski construction design. Through years of meticulous masterminding and countless prototypes, 2019 World Champion, Joel Howley helped create a ride that performs when it matters. At Connelly, we care about your last pass — when you’re not perfect, when the conditions aren’t perfect, when you need just one more buoy. Both Manon Costard and Joel Howley’s feats at the 2019 World Championships are testaments to how our technology prevails when it counts. We don’t just deliver on our claims, all the ski companies do that. But we deliver more and we deliver it when it matters — on your last pass. More stability. More acceleration. More control. More grip. More speed. For the skier who always wants just a little bit more. The 2020 GT-R delivers.

Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted August 20, 2019 Gold Member Share Posted August 20, 2019 Excellent marketing! When you've just proven you're the real deal is a pretty darn good time to toot your own horn!

Baller BraceMaker Posted August 20, 2019 Baller Share Posted August 20, 2019 I wonder the accuracy of the statement - the overhead image for instance sure looks like a ski turned beyond where it needs to go. I'd like to think what he's saying might be a reason that he can get away with running those downhill ski boots. Perhaps if the ski can be pointed and hung onto you can talk about the process of skiing in a different way.
lakeside7455
I wonder what changes are from 2019 to 2020, I don't think they did a whole lot different. Any one know?
Baller_ Wish Posted August 20, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted August 20, 2019 Every time I watch his/Connelly videos I want to try the ski. Less about sunset big spray slow mo and more about the ski and the general rational for its design. Well played Joel and Connelly.

Baller_ Wish Posted August 21, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted August 21, 2019 That's if he's crazy enough to get off the Denali. I'm guessing rounding 3 ball @39 makes that a tough decision.
