Baller jcamp Posted September 11, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 11, 2019 @lakeside7455 So only 39 off skiers, or into 38 and beyond?
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted September 11, 2019 Supporting Member Share Posted September 11, 2019 Technically I did get into -39 in one tournament (I bet no one has heard THAT story...), so here are my numbers: 2 skis: 5 course: 7 (on two skis)
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted September 11, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 11, 2019 Better question is how long were you skiing (years) before you started receiving high level coaching on a regular basis (ski partner or paid coach) For the best skiers out there, that number (years) is going to be much lower. Access to quality coaching will be a better predictor of scores than starting age.

lakeside7455
Make it thru 38 as starting point or shorter of poll. It seems a majority of skiers get stuck at 35 off, can run it and get a few at 38, but the ability to make 38 is what I consider next level and even more beyond that. So make 38 or shorter for poll. lakeside7455
Jody_Seal, it counts if you also ran it on a ski, otherwise doesn't count, haha. How old were you starting on 2 and course?

Baller 6balls Posted September 12, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 12, 2019 2 skis at 5. My brothers made me be able to jump the entire wake landing in the opposite wash before I could try one ski...which occurred at age 9. Began barefooting at 12. First slalom course late teens skiing in a barefoot suit. Progressed pretty quickly running my first ever pass at 30 and 15 off not releasing the handle. Soon was automatic at 28 off 36 but got harder from there.
