Baller bhs Posted September 2, 2020 Baller Share Posted September 2, 2020 Curious if anyone is using one and would like to hear feedback.
Baller BlueSki Posted September 2, 2020 Baller Share Posted September 2, 2020 Yes, I set up my C75 with a flat wing last season and just to experiment put the S wing on the ski in the middle of this season. The ski still glides and turns well, but my elbows stopped hurting, so I left it on the ski. Would another degree have done the same thing? Maybe, but I love how the ski is running now. Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted September 2, 2020 Supporting Member Share Posted September 2, 2020 I've been using it since it was invented. But I haven't been able to ski this year, and meanwhile it seems that the favorite Denali setups for many have been with a flat wing. The S-wing addressed a specific issue, but perhaps a better way has been found in a different setting range?
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted September 2, 2020 Baller Share Posted September 2, 2020 I found that the S-Wing added Drag. It worked OK at 5 degrees, but a Small Flat wing gave the same performance results without the added Drag.
Baller Skierx Posted September 2, 2020 Baller Share Posted September 2, 2020 I like it on last year's model which is the standard flex c-75. I now have a c-75 record and I like the flat wing on it better. Also running the fin way further back on record than the other one.

Baller_ lpskier Posted September 4, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted September 4, 2020 I really like it in colder water, say 80 and below. Above 80 a flat wing seems better for me. Lpskier
Baller BlueSki Posted September 5, 2020 Baller Share Posted September 5, 2020 This thread spurred me to put the flat wing back on but with an extra degree of angle. I maintained better speed through the turns, so I will stick with flat.
Baller S1Pitts Posted September 6, 2020 Baller Share Posted September 6, 2020 Yes @34. I ski on three bodies of water on any given week. This last week with temp variations from 55 ish to 82 ish, I found the s wing is more sensitive to the different temps than a flat wing.
Baller VONMAN Posted September 8, 2020 Baller Share Posted September 8, 2020 If I was younger no problem, but at 70 it was way to much load on this old body. Ernie Schlager
