Baller ballsohard Posted October 4, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 4, 2020 Nicholas Parsons and Carl Denis have just announced that the new creation is available now at a special early bird price. There isn't much info (none) about the ski on the website. All that I noticed is that it must be designed for people to size down with the Pineapple as it only comes in 64, 65 and 66. https://www.tppskis.com/

Baller ballsohard Posted October 5, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted October 5, 2020 I have heard that the skis do in fact involve sizing down and that they are really high quality and made with prepreg carbon.
Baller 6balls Posted October 5, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 5, 2020 I think there is some cinnamon and nutmeg in there too, and optional frosting. Great people behind it I'm sure it's a great ski.

Baller C5Quest Posted October 5, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 5, 2020 So what’s the deal? Website has zero info. Usually ride a 66 so go to 65?
Baller A_B Posted October 5, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 5, 2020 I think it looks like a Wide Ride with a flat top tip. The tip could be good on my handle pops. No tip to hit.
Baller mbabiash Posted October 5, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 5, 2020 Nick told me the 66 would be similar to a 68 ski.
Baller JBB Posted October 5, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 5, 2020 anyone have context as to what appears to be a spine down the bottom of the ski?
Administrators Horton Posted October 5, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 5, 2020 @jbb optical illusion. Is a v shapes tunnel with a radius transition in the middle. There is no "spine" if I understand your question... kurtis500
Interesting tunnel shape. I’m curious how it rides flat on the surface. My guess it’s more stable. Nice work!

Martin1980
Looks like a wider than normal ski and would guess that a 64" would be up to 160 lbs ish, 65" 160-190 lbs ish, and a 66" for 190+ lbs ish.
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted October 6, 2020 Supporting Member Share Posted October 6, 2020 Length alone doesn't mean much. Surface area means maybe a little more, but still not much. The thing to do is to trust the people who make and test the ski as to what size to get!
Baller skihart Posted October 6, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 6, 2020 @mbabiash Hey Matt i wish you and I were on the same size ski. I would love to pickup your ski leftovers! You must have more than @Horton
Baller mbabiash Posted October 6, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 6, 2020 @skihart I’ve actually been good this year. Skied most of the year on 9970cc which was awesome. Then tried a 68 ION that my buddy ordered and loved it even more. Set couple PB’s on it. I’ve been hounding Carl and nick to try this thing all summer so I thought I’d try the pineapple. It’s just so different. Pineapple comes tomorrow morning and I’ll hop right on it.

Martin1980
@mbabiash How do you like the Pineapple so far. FYI, The website now has some technical information on it and recommended sizes based on your weight and speed.
Baller mbabiash Posted October 14, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 14, 2020 Where do I start? Well let’s start with the construction. This thing is so well built. You can immediately tell that it is a solid ski and will last. Matte finish on top and shiny on the bottom. On to how it skis. I can easily say that the onside turn is the best I’ve experienced on any ski. It has a tight radius/pivot type turn but doesn’t lose speed at the finish. My onside is usually my down fall on every ski I’ve ridden because I usually over cook it and I’m done. The offside is rewarding when you move forward on the ski and drive hips forward through the finish of the turn. Wake crossings are insane. This thing has unbelievable grip through the wakes allowing you to hold the direction and angle you’ve created and it’s a lot of angle. Another aspect that I love is how smoothly it edge changes. It’s seamless and you never find yourself riding flat out to the buoy. Lastly Nick has been incredible with setup. Very quick to respond. Weather is tanking for me but I look forward to the spring.
