Many local to the lakes near me - so good too see them coming through. Baller Kiwiskier Posted March 4, 2022 Baller Share Posted March 4, 2022 Moomba has very good prize money this year 200k AUD ( 150k USD ) , this includes wakeboard however each event in tournament skiing has around 17k USD . Moomba is paying an even amount across all slalom , trick ,jump and night jump also even money between men and women . Because of this Mens slalom has less money than most events on the pro tour so yes some slalom skiers stateside once they see Nate , Tgas and Freddy entered probably feel it’s not cost effective to make the trip . For jumper who is competing for night jump money as well or a strong overall skier like Joel Poland this could be a very lucrative event . Moomba is more than a waterski tournament, it is about the “event” and show casing our sport to the pubic our sport desperately needs it to continue .
