  1. @matthewbrown atheist or agnostic?
  2. @dirt that’s kind of my point, how much more money and time will be wasted having to review, And re-try in some cases, his previous arrests? And some of these slime balls may actually get off because of this. As far as knowing the paperwork was falsified on purpose just look at the ford truck issue, you think it was a coincidence that he put the incorrect state on the documents knowing they could seize it and then use it as his work truck?
  3. I wouldn’t classify falsifying government documents as “filling out incorrectly”. That makes it sound like it was an honest mistake as opposed to purposely putting down incorrect info for personal gain. And what about the obstruction of justice for coercion witness to give false testimony and then perjury? I do agree that Comey should be locked up Here is another interesting article. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fox26houston.com/news/civil-rights-attorney-taking-on-two-decade-old-murder-case.amp
  4. @Spineofgoo if you have read any of my comments about this subject you would see I am 100% on your side. So don’t get your panties in a bunch. My comment was made regarding this sites bias over who you are allowed to criticize and who you are not allowed to criticize.
  5. Feel free to pile on Nate but don’t dare say anything about Chad.....
  6. This whole thing is weird, who goes online just to talk to themselves. I mean I like myself but I am not that awesome where I would want to talk to myself or am I??? Is @Brady = @Garn
  7. @bsmith from personal experience went from M2 to M3 within last couple years and my ranking score went from 105 buoys to 104 buoys and I only skied for 6 months at 55k. With more time at 55k there was no doubt I would have been above 105 buoys but unfortunately we moved to japan and my skiing is on a 3 year pause. That’s actual data not just guys saying what they can or cannot do.
  8. @bsmith I don’t agree that all the skiers in the top three would be skiing 58k. Skiing at 58k has a lot smaller margin for error than 55k. Even though you may achieve a higher buoy count once in a while when skiing 58k I would bet that you would also have a lot more scores with a lower buoy count due to the increased difficulty. Like @JeffSurdej said it’s all about strategy.
  9. When I am hungry I’m the truck a pinch of Skoal hits the spot
  10. My favorite part of the email was the mention of being proactive.....everything about this is reactive, the exact opposite of proactive. I believe being proactive would have required doing something before this whole mess became public. ??‍♂️
  11. @gregy if you read the article safesport was limited to what they could do because the events happened before safesport was created.
  12. WOW that’s a lot of injuries already, I guess we should start complaining about the site( only joking just a dig at all the people crying about world conditions?) hope all the skiers are ok.
  13. @Stevie Boy my wife had her 3 event gear stolen years back from the back of her dads truck, guess where they found it, yep a pawn shop. Thieves are pretty predictable they want money as fast as they can get it and publicizing their stolen goods on social media isn’t exactly fast and easy money
  14. Check pawn shops in the area, I would be willing to bet they pawned the ski gear
  15. I don’t try to think about making more speed out of the buoy but trying to maintain the speed I generated into the buoy through my turn and into the hook up out of the buoy. In terms of the gate, you are narrow because you did not generate enough speed on your pull out to get wide on the boat and therefore have to apply more load in order (which causes you to pull longer) to generate necessary angle. The best gate shots I have almost feel like I am turning in on slack because I am rolling in with a higher speed allowing me to generate angle without load. Similarly in the course every time you lose speed by rocking back or breaking forward at the buoy you have lost speed and now have to pull harder and longer to generate the angle you need for the next buoy.
  16. Learned to ski behind ‘78 Mastercraft that the old man bought to keep me out of trouble, had 700 hours when we bought it and over 2000 when he got rid of it. Mission accomplished
  17. It’s interesting that all the skiers pictured as “edging” are in their onside lean and traditional stacked skiers are in their off side lean (offside meaning right foot forward going from odd to even buoys and left foot forward going from even to odd buoys). What do the “edging” skiers look like on their offside leans? I always found it easier to accomplish an “edging” lean on my onside lean, either I am not flexible enough or athletic enough to accomplish in my offside lean, I would always find myself in a butt back position like Marcus mentioned
  18. @BoneHead what said on this thread has been speculation? What are the details behind this that we are missing?
  19. @LeonL I think that is probably how it starts, you bend the rules a little bit and it works and you get convictions and then before you know it you are flat out breaking rules, maybe I am wrong but asking people to commit perjury on the stand is not bending the rules, it’s asking someone to commit a felony......
  20. My best friend is a narcotics detective and he tells me stories all the time about obstacles he faces when trying to build cases because the drug dealers know the laws just as well as the cops. But he still closes cases and doesn’t bend the rules like @richfoster is suggesting because he is a law enforcement officer and swore to an oath. Cops that bend the rules are the reason why the public has such a bad perception of the police. I am sure he had to deal with the absolute scum of the earth and the streets were probably safer with them in prison but that doesn’t make it right. As @Alvin_Neff said Chad is a good guy and hopefully the judge takes all the good he did in his 30 years of public service into consideration during sentencing. Also wish him luck in October with his next court battle and thoughts and prayers to his family. @Bruce_Butterfield I guess the two former Members of the DEA task force that testified are liars as well and there is no chance that Chad was bending the rules to close big cases to advance his own career? As @Horton mentioned we may never know how innocent or guilty he is but 12 jurors heard all the evidence and came back with a unanimous decision and I am not going question the prosecutors motives because someone is a great boat driver and I thought was a nice guy who I met at a couple waterski tournaments
  21. @horton so the athletes who train outside the US are at a disadvantage at worlds because they choose to train outside the US, so it’s not a world championship it’s a US championship? So how is the sport to grow on a global level?
  22. @horton who is this “we” you speak of? Athletes that train in the US? You know there is a huge world outside of your bubble
  23. @Horton key word is n your response “If” I also notice no name in his Bio, under name bad influence...
