  1. Thanks @adamhcaldwell I went back and edited my comment ?
  2. What @adamhcaldwell didn’t say, after crossing the wakes your right shoulder comes forward giving up your outbound direction. I took still shot of your approach into one ball and another of mine at 35 coming into one. Not saying mine is perfect but you can see the difference with our right shoulders
  3. I think crabbing is a result of blocking, so it’s not the same thing but if your blocking on time you will crab down the lake. If your blocking to late or early I think you will have more of a meandering boat bath with the pylon off center as opposed to crabbing which keeps the pylon center
  4. I can speak more from skier perspective, I feel the best drivers block right at the apex of my turn, it gives me a feeling of tight line and when I begin to load the boat is right with me. When the driver blocks late I tend to feel lose at the buoy and when I load I tend to fall in and get real deep on the backside of buoy
  5. Skied two tourney rounds behind it at Lake 38 record. first round was tough but second round boat felt great. I think the first round I fell into the trap of listening to all the other skiers talk about how bad the boat was and how there is nothing there on the backside of buoy. Second round I focused on wide slow gate and aggressive behind boat and ran my cleanest tourney 38 this year.
  6. For visual I always tell my driver to find a fixed point straight through course and focus on that. Don’t look at boat guide buoys. the last lake I skied at we drove a stake in the ground at the end of the lake at centerline on each end and left it about 4 feet high and painted it fluorescent orange for the boat driver to use as visual.
  7. People got tired of donating money
  8. @Andre you are missing something, Florida is not just Orlando and south, Jacksonville area there is only one tournament lake within 2 1/2 hours and they don’t take new members, trust me I have tried but there are some nice people skiing there that invite me out once in a while. Only place I have been able to find is an hour drive on a public lake with a floating course. People are shocked when I told them we got a permit. Gets the job done but when living in dallas I had 4 lakes within an hour and they all welcomed new members......
  9. @Cnewbert didn’t see your message. Come up and check it out sometime. I am gonna try and make it out one day this week and next weekend for sure
  10. @Cnewbert the lake is called ocean pond it is in the osceola national forest. I ski on average 1-2 times per week and it is just my wife and I that use the course. Weekdays we have the lake to ourselves since school back in and weekend you have to ski early
  11. It’s more like an hour and a half but I ski east of lake city, have a course and an 01 nautique.
  12. @Ryota thanks, how far would that be from Yokosuka? We will be moving there next May and I would definitely be interested in skiing with your friends if possible.
  13. @MS that would be awesome and I would be in your debt forever
  14. Any international ballers know of waterskiing around Yokosuka Japan? Navy is shipping us out next May
  15. I just went from M2 to M3 and I still open water ski at 36 a lot when course is blown out. As long as your in the right position behind the boat width shouldn’t be an issue, focus on body position behind the boat and when you get back in the course at 34 it will feel like old man speed again
  16. @Edbrazil that’s what I thought but thanks for clarifying. Next tourney I will request a left center boat path.
  17. @klindy I noticed same thing, boat favoring driver side. When we used to video boat path at practice I noticed when I ski, I tend to ski better if driver favors my off turn side, LFF this would be 2/4/6, and shorts me at 1,3,5. Something easier about powering through my onside turn a little narrow. Just curious if the driver is 4” right at all 6 buoys does it count as total deviation of 24”? Or 0”?
  18. Well, I probably would have done the same as far as skiing first, However I would have offered to give her a pull skiing and then towed the boat in
  19. Any ballers around Gainesville? Picking up new trailer for my boat at lake area water sports Saturday morning and was looking for a place to ski.
  20. Any ballers know of waterskiing in this area? Looks like Camp Lejeune is our next stop. @OB1 you still out there? Heard rumor of a course on the marine base
  21. @Than_Bogan that’s exactly what I am saying so unlikely you might call it impossible
  22. @Than_Bogan 4 41s from 4 different skiers in a day would be like flipping heads 100 times in a row.
