  1. Tough for all. Terry was a great guy. I have one of his ropes.
  2. @lpskier Can you elaborate, plus and minus's on your findings?
  3. Putting my weight over a straight front leg well before the buoy and ....gently rolling in just before the buoy. (I imagine turning the curved tip of the ski around the buoy). I can have crummy wakes, lose connection, and tilt, but if I do those 2, I usually make the pass.
  4. It's at the boat house, but, you simply remove one of the wraps that is on the inside of your foot, so when you put your foot in, the binding opens up on the inside and you can get it in while in the water. which enables one to step off the dock or platform and then put in your rear foot, works really well. and simple.
  5. Wileys, with the inside wrap removed. You can get in it while in the water, and lift your heel coming into the buoy. It is a great compromise.
  6. Coming off shoulder surgery and getting old. Too much ski and too hopeful.

This is the refined version of the '22, with softer tip for turns.
  8. $980. new in box. coach3@rocketmail.com 865-755-5588
  9. I just got the most stretch S line, since I ski 28/32/35 off, there is less rope to "stretch". It does seem to give a little, maybe? So at those rope lengths, a little stretch may feel nice.
  10. I have a new 2023 Vapor pro; staying with the Senate as I'm old. $1200
  11. I am REALLY first rides, as recovering from shoulder surgery from last year. Just glad to get in deep water starts, and free skiing some 28 off and let it all come together, working on posture and a tight line....and not hurt the shoulder. Actually kinda fun.
  12. I had the Pulse, orange I think. Turning ski. super cool
  13. @Horton Agree, I was tower judge at the Malibu Open one year, and 5 ball was in the shadows at Trophy Lakes. The skier rounded 5 ball, or did he? We reviewed using the "official video", and we both called it wrong. A simple review of the TWBC footage revealed the correct call. If TWBC had been there, we wouldn't have this mess. Maybe Masters can get some better camera angles, or a drone; something. It is all easy enough today. I hate it for Freddie, Nautique, and the wonderful Masters tournament. Just gotta get the calls right, and be able to verify.
  14. I had the pleasure of being a tower judge in just a record tourney that Freddie was skiing in. Two judges gave him 3, and one judge 3 1/2 as his ski rounded 4 ball in a full body slide. He questioned the call saying his ski got around 4, which it did, but the 2 judges said it did not count because he was not in skiing position. Freddie was respectful. However, what is your call?
  15. @Cnewbertyou are correct on all. Grateful and have more than I deserve. Looking forward to seeing your story unfold this season.
  16. @customski I have been considering an HRT. How did it feel going from double boots? Able to ski up the line. Any specific drama?
  17. @Cnewbert Sadly a TKR. I was a candidate for a Partial years ago, but waited too long. I was run over by a boat and the prop tore into my leg and body. I can still run 32 off and a few more, but wake crossings are getting more painful on the front knee. Being only 66, I am trying to wait so as not to have to do a revision 18 years later. Maybe I can make to 70. In other sports, I can ride a bike 50 miles, and row for 1.5 hours or so. The knee is just quite loose. I have years of research on the topic.
  18. @Cnewbert So glad for you, very impressive. I am headed in your direction soon, just trying to put if off another year or two.
  19. @Cnewbertwhat brand of implant did your surgeon use? was it a Zimmer Persona? using the Rosa system?
  20. @MDB1056I got a ride in my big sister's boyfriend's 6 speed in 1968. He dragged his '64 Vette on weekends. He put a $5 bill on the dash in front of me, stopped on the entrance ramp and said catch it and it's yours. Passing 135 mph, we slowed to make the next exit, and the green bill was on the floor. Retro, cool machines can penetrate the soul.....It had the 427. We also got to be in a video shoot with MasterCraft a couple of years ago, and they used a '72 Orange and grey stars and stripes vs a new wakeboard boat. I tried to buy it, but to no avail. Just too cool.
  21. anyone come from a double boot to a HRT?
  22. Having your left hand as primary steer is my preference, and I have the seat a bit too close to the steering wheel so my arm is connected to my body and I find it easier to make small movements being connected. I flew fighters as a young man, and during tight formation and high speed dive bombing jet control much more precise with your arm connected and planted on your body. If I could only ski that way. Hmmm
  23. If the water break is too far back in the preturn, then LS will help that a bit and you can run bindings a little forward and still get tail smear.
