  1. @swbca I'd love to see a schematic or how it is connected. I have a sinkable course, but anchors have been tearing it up. I have to do something.
  2. Did Malibu change or tweak their hull for '23? The marketing said mentioned that, didn't know if that was for real?
  3. @BraceMaker Now we're talkin'. a 2.3 boosted engine in a small boat is a winner. hmmm, might be the beginning of a winter project.
  4. Splash a 94 MC, (work on the spray), 250HP small engine, quiet motor box with ZO and you are done. Yeah, I know the new CP is patterned after the 94 MC, and is the new MC hull yet grossly widened,..... but actually KEEP it small, light, closed bow. Economies of scale and it just works. An inboard boat is very simple. Yes, the hull design for 3 event is not, but the mechanics are. Been done for decades. Lot's of other boats to easily learn from. Even a trim tab to add or subtract hook, or spray tabs that do not cost an extra $50K. If buyers want the extras, fine, charge 'em, but basics are basics. $59K and you are making lots of money. Can you sell them? Agreed, big question, but lots of lakes just want ski tractors.
  5. @Horton ,1/3 looks fantastic, 2/4 seems to have a hitch, then go. I suppose that is part of the review process to work on stuff.
  6. Terry, Got your old rope from Brie. I am using it to modify our sinkable course as "rope handles" for each Buoy arm. It is working. You are a fighter, really praying for you and look forward to hanging with you next spring. I tore my rotator cuff and out for the season too but will be back to see y'all in Orlando soon. Heal up my man. Chris Carter
  7. @Horton Mid review video possible? Can you feel the softer tip?
  8. Back in the 197 days, I sold several 197's with the smaller engine. At the time the 5.7 was standard.
  9. @Horton If you go to the MC website, on engines, the 5.3L is there.
  10. Since MC uses the 5.3 in other boats, it is on the shelf. Simply make it an option for many boats on open water and more casual skiing. LIghter, better wake, and sipping fuel.
  11. I have a double knee replacement scheduled this fall, 6 weeks apart. Cautiously optimistic....yikes.
  12. the peak torque for a 6.0 and 5.3 are very similar, as well as, at 3600 rpm or so which is what Zero Off responds to. I actually vote for a 5.3 offering which has direct injection.

@teammalibu you know if the hull for 2023 is the same?
  14. @brooks Has rocker or stiffness changed on the 23 Vapor? Y'all make great stuff.
  15. @Horton So what is the difference for 23? The verbiage reads about the same. Rocker or flex as you said?
  16. @thager That's encouraging, was that your front knee?
  17. Any feedback? How long until one can ski up to par, or does the wake hurt the implant? Is it even possible or maybe better after a chronic bad front knee?
  18. Tennessee just passed a wake surf and wake board law. It basically prohibits those from surfing in a cove in the state of Tennessee. We just politely let em know the new law and enjoy your sport out in the main channel. We take the view that change may not be immediate, but will improve over time.
  19. Does anyone know if there is a hull change this year?
  20. I had a large tear 5 weeks ago. Had surgery 4 weeks ago today, and done for the season. I'll work all winter and hope, with the experience on BOS, be back with some confidence this spring, which should give me about 9 months.
  21. @EricB can you adjust the Zero ball to land where a 5 ball would be on an 8 buoy course? It is very close to where most turn in or about 134', (a gate distance), vs the straight line 177'
  22. Isn't the '22 ride more tip high? I was interested but I am too back foot biased as it is and would like a ski to help me ride more level not make it worse. I am sure others are more balanced than me. I can run mid 35 off at old man's speed, 32 mph, so tip up skiing makes it harder for me. Comments?
  23. Tore my shoulder; rotator cuff. Large tear and had surgery July 17. Season is done and the conditions are wonderful. Sure they are. Gotta come up with a better story but, one armed a gas can into a truck and pop.
  24. @Horton If you are on a 66, I assume it skis a bit big? Seems normally you tend to ride 67s?
