  1. make one lake recreational/wakeboard and the other slalom. otherwise no slalom skier would be interested!
  2. I think many skiers would sure like the option for a SMALLER engine. Less gas burn, lighter, better wake, and possibly less expensive. Most skiers do not need these big horsepower engines, sans 200+ foot jumpers. So let them have the big power, and the rest of us chose the fuel miser.
  3. Is the Senate faster or slower across course than the Vapor? (34 mph) Anyone have a feel for that?
  4. @C5Quest Which way did you move your bindings?
  5. @Cnewbert Yes the factory does put a little bevel providing torque steer. Some boats need a little more if it doesn't bring the steering past neutral. Some don't. If you grind more on top of what they have molded it will be correct. It is on the starboard side of the rudder.
  6. I have had a 2015, and a 2018 PS. Absolutely the best slalom wake for multiple speeds and line lengths. I prefer a little more torque steer so grind the rudder a bit. Then tracking is right on. (I'm a senior driver and drive them all.)
  7. @thager What is the suction pressure your pump puts out?
  8. I find better success in thinking about feeling load in my hand that just got back on the handle. It helps several things as in, MORE not completely, level shoulders, and in actuality, keeps the load even. It also helps to not over rotate the shoulders. I we lead with our hips (Horton does this well on 2/4), the ski really turns and carries out off the second wake. So....think trailing hand pressure (Right Hand going from 1 to 2) and it solves several issues with one thought.
  9. @thager So you use suction from the dock and not at places on the course? I raise it from a dock compressor as well. Your 110V suction pump is just used from the dock to raise and lower I assume? I wonder if I used a 12v pump to suction at water places in the course from the boat? My dock to course line is 800 feet to the course. (3 gate)
  10. @thager Big thanks. Yes I wondered if collapsing an air bag could be an issue. I have an old course, 20 years, and have modified over the years. I have 9 ball valves to force water out, with a compressor at the dock. A little suction may speed up drying out occasionally; hopefully.
  11. @thager If you remember, I'd love to get a pic of the pump you have. I need to get some water out of my Accu sink course. I use pressure to do it with ball valves, but maybe some suction would help?
  12. I'm 150, 34, on a 66", and mid 35 off. It feels about right.
  13. I have a 2019 vapor lithium, 66" that is a bit softer and really turns. almost new, $675
  14. I would think line length has a major effect as well. I am 34 mph and run shallow 35 off, 150lbs, 5'9", and on a 2020 Vapor, 66". It turns well on both sides and seems to be the right size, although haven't tried the 65".
  15. @thager If you get a chance, I would love a pic of your pump to get the model.
  16. ...so it is with our sport, progress measured is elevating to the soul
  17. I will say Wally stuff is well thought out, so if you're not mechanical and understand pressure, he has done it for you.
  18. @thager Oh perfect, I will search or if you get a pic of it. Yes, I have a homemade/accu sink combination course that has evolved over the last 2 decades, and a cinderblock is about the right weight, then you can add donught type floats if you need some lift, as they don't compress under a deep lake bottom.
  19. @thager Do you have a link? I've been hunting, but don't want to over pressure the course.
  20. Does anyone use the pump from Wally? Does it work well or just ok?
  21. Omega was HO's big nationals release, but it's been quiet. Anyone skiing it?
  22. @Spitfire I have a 66" 2019 Vapor Li. It really turns. on SIA $685 has about 2 months on it. New ski.
  23. @Chris Rossi I'm on a 66 at a buck fifty... is that too big?
  24. How are settings for the 2020 evolving? I am skiing stock long and shallow as is my habit, with the bindings 1/6 forward. 3rd set getting used to it and coming off a 2019 (which turned great I might add). Inputs?
  25. I bought a new vapor boot and the strap holding the top bungee came unglued, the other one about to. Performance was my store, and there is a new boot on the way! Even though I am super careful lacing up, it came unglued, or maybe wasn't stitched as designed? At any rate, amazing Performance and Radar!
