  1. my 2015 was a fav. it is a good boat.
  2. Melton Hill has an active course in Reactor Cove. There are several that still ski it. PM me if you are headed that way.
  3. @lpskier Well, I've jacked up my ankle. Had a scope 11 years ago, and now it just is getting swollen skiing reminiscent from the past. Stem cells has my interest. Anything specific I need to know?
  4. HO fits my hand well, but the inside out by Radar is a great idea, and I am trying a pair now. Thin Amara with a Large radius handle is the best combo for grip and blisters.
  5. Got weights on these two different engines? The 6.0 is 70 lbs heavier than the 5.7. Just looking a volume and size I would guess the 5.3 is 180 to 200 lbs lighter than the 6.0?
  6. For slalom and a long set up, the 5.3 looks interesting using less fuel and about 200 lbs lighter. Any thoughts?
  7. Brie Carter 2 handed 6 ball @ 35 off at the U21 Worlds. I could see it coming and almost couldn't watch. She thankfully ended up winning. Brash but cool.
  8. @lpskier Stem cells in the ankle, wow! Hoped to see you ski on the Lapoint ski.
  9. I have spent a lot of time driving a 196 at a ski school. It is my favorite Nautique to ski behind. It drives differently than a MC. Once you simply get in tune with THAT particular boat, tracking is fine. If not paying attention to the habits of THAT boat, and expect the boat to do it all like that last boat you drove, then tracking is an issue. Both boat can pull the shortest of slalom. However, I am most comfortable driving a MC.
  10. I grind my rudder every year just a little to suit the boat and i pull 38's and 39's; it tracks great.
  11. @TEL The ProStar is the best with varied line lengths and speeds. I have a 2020 coming that will be for sale this fall. My daughter is in Orlando and I could bring it!
  12. You are on to something. Hmmm, guess I got to make more of my gates in practice....
  13. 5 passes would take about as long as 3 jump passes. best of 5. why not?
  14. jump gets to log their best score, so.....why not slalom log the best score? pick the number of passes, 3 or 4, or 5, but after a completed pass the best score or your round. Just like jump
  15. great thinking. something other than one and done is progress.
  16. Dawn, We used to hang with you and Dave in Covington. My best to you and grateful for all that Dave has done for the waterski community. Chris Carter and girls
  17. fast track back seems like a simple solution.
  18. My neighbor has a blue and white one for sale with a tower and jump seat. 2018 I think. We are in Tennessee and might could meet part way.
  19. He was quite an innovator and marketer and raised the level of R and D for everyone. Always thinking. Impressive man.
  20. I am taken back by the fitness and balance they have on flat skis. Maybe a good training plan to learn balance on a ski?
  21. @aupatking Interesting post. My story is similar, as a kid believing I had the best spray, cross the wake the fastest, and turn the hardest; thought I was the best on our lake....then I went to the Masters in '74 and made a trip to Jack's first lake. It was humbling to have Mike Hazelwood ask what country I was from, and to add to the paid; the Roberge family and Sammy skied that week. I drove home with a smile on my face, sore, and full of humble pie. But it took, and now, 40 years later, we have an illegal sinkable course in a cove and I have a world champion daughter....I believe in the middle group as somehow people find us, and we give free ski rides and lessons all summer long. Let's grow the sport from the middle!
  22. ProStar. Slow or fast it is best for slalom.
  23. For a mid 35 off skier, and 150lbs, 34 mph, wondering if a 65" senate would be better assuming it can turn like the vapor? Thoughts?
