  1. @Stevie Boywhere is the water breaking in the preturn? and what is Bf?
  2. The intent of this thread, may be why 39 off is more difficult than 15 off; i.e., is it distance traveled? @AdamCord bottom lined it to skier path has to be more correct at 39 than 15, (higher on the boat). The average speed and distance traveled may be similar between long line and short line. The increased difficulty might be: more acceleration and deceleration is required at 39 than 15. Simple as that?
  3. I leave it in the lift and do my own. By the time I put it back on the trailer and haul to a dealer, I can have the oil changed, or impeller, winterized, etc.
  4. @The_MS Seems like you were a Vapor guy years ago. I skied with you at Covington if memory serves? Can you compare generally a Radar vs the KD on effort, turning, carry out?
  5. You can see those old fiberglass skis flex with slow rebound, yet, they all kept the tip down and finished the turn. Impressive.
  6. @The_MS Couple of questions: Is the 2023 just a graphics change, and regarding the 66/67 bubble, I am 153 lbs, 32 mph and deep 35 off; suggestions?
  7. Wake foiling. There is more to do, you can go from wake to wake, left right, and back to second wakes, and third. Plus add up and down. Great for balance. And can do it behind a tournament boat and save $150K
  8. @thagerfront knee or back? Does wake impact hurt?
  9. CP, Dave, and I rode bikes that morning, and then CP ripped it up. I was in the tower to see an epic run!
  10. @Wolfeie At 32 mph, does the ski require a lot of effort? (I am a 32/35 off skier)
  11. I'm 65, and just had rotator cuff massive tear and surgery this summer. Rehabbing hard, but, wow, progress is slow. Weak as a kitten. I hope to return to skiing after lifting all winter. It appears the muscle tone surrounding the injury is quite stabilizing. Hope the best, I'll let you know how the spring goes. I am just a mid 35 off skier and don't want to take hits anymore; smooth and rhythm or just let go.
  12. @Horton Revisiting this review; If you were to pick a tournament ski, would the KD be on the list for your style? Possibly a moderately fast ski may be better at super short line?

  14. @Horton So, good recovery potential, nice. Were you able to run some 38's when it was dialed in?

  16. @Horton Specifically descriptive review; well done. How did it do when you were skiing near your maximum potential?

  18. he quickly gets back in the stacked pulling position, even after a bad finish. this has been his style for as long as I can remember. He goes into the first wake accelerating.
  19. Getting older with a season ending injury has made me more deeply reflect. Posture, balance, and rhythm. Next year free ski to opening pass with the above until apex is much earlier, then shorten. With age I can no longer use muscle and have to use P, B, and R. Dry land practice as I recover is a foundation....I hope.
  20. He hit his head on the platform doing a flying start; didn't jump out far enough is what I understand from a barefooter (I pull) that was there. He must have been quite a talented man. Barefooters take some nasty falls.
  21. Anyone know if there is a hull change for '23?
  22. Had a massive RCT one arming a gas can into a pickup truck. After 3 months, Doc said I was ahead of schedule and could do what I wished and hit the gym. I did a deep water start and pulled it. Stupid. Didn't retear, but.....healing back up now, and hope to lift carefully and progressively all winter. Hope I can ski again in the spring? Others out there with RC surgery able to ski some short line again? (MId 35 off)
