  1. I guess our Trash Talk Tuesdays are like a beer league. It is just fun on the course. We also get some old college graduates that find us and ask for a pull. That I suppose is our sport.
  2. We have a sinkable course in a cove, public lake. It has been there for over 34 years. I maintain it, which takes a lot of work and money. I only put it up early morning or weekdays that are quieter...but, people seem to find us, and I will pull anyone or teach anyone at their level. We have taught sooo many at our expense. Our public lake course got a U21 champion, and 2x junior master champion, and 4 national champs. But, did we grow the sport?.....Well not sure. People seem to take a ride or two and don't progress and don't go for tournaments. We do have Trash Talk Tuesday in the summer, where skiers can ski and talk big afterwards at a large dinner we host. It is fun, but lots of work and time on the boat. Are we growing the sport,...Again, I'm not sure.
  3. does the CG fin fit in a Radar or too thick?
  4. @thager Did the C75 hurt your knee? Front? If so, did you go to another one that felt better?
  5. for RFF the washer reduces FD on the smear side? or right side of the fin block?
  6. @Chris Rossi Is the Lithium a bit softer flex than the PB Vapor?
  7. Anyone have experience with the FM EVO release? I think it is the one that the cuff comes off. Does it also have a mechanical release or just the cuff?
  8. @SkiJay Great discussion on LE. I'm trying the Vapor Lithium as we discussed above. I'm very interested in your test and comparison of the PB vs Li. Science and tests are fun. ( BTW, my next step is to install the WF on the Lithium, but fin block is the narrow one, so I'm hunting another old fin block to make it work. Looking forward to it.)
  9. Oh yes, even though a buoy filled with water is in a water medium, it is encapsulated and therefore it's own entity. Additional mass will deter movement and trip up a skier. I have experimented with both when we had that old discussion. Do as you like, but water mass will make a buoy more dangerous. There are easier ways to submerge. It is well though out.
  10. Please do not put water in a buoy, it adds mass and keeps the buoy from moving, making it more like a rock. It is worse. It is better to deflate, and any soft buoy plastic can then displace and move as needed.
  11. When evaluating what a specific member contributes to an airplane, (like the empennage for example), the center of lift is determined. Likewise, the center of lift of the fin would be a similar type contribution. LE may do other things to the ski, but tail lift would not be from LE but the center of lift of the fin assembly. Admittedly, that will change with ski angle, but at each angle it is the center of lift, whether it is long and shallow or deep and short, not the beginning of the LE of the fin from my view.
  12. @SkiJay BTW I am trying the WF for the first time tomorrow on a 66"
  13. @SkiJay Does a softer ski allow a more forward front boot? I am trying a Lithium Vapor, and it seems softer than the pro build. Might work for a mid 35 off skier?
  14. @ScotChipman1 yes, 65. Wondering if stiffness may help? I also have one of those Goode large wings from a while back. That may help. Experimenting.
  15. @ScotChipman1 I am trying an '18 Omni and am a mid 35 off guy at 150lbs. I understand HO stiffened up the '19 version. Do you think that would help shorter line lengths? Yes it is a lot of surface area for our weight. I hope to be more consistent at 32 off and deep 35. Your thoughts?
  16. I ski with a MC engineer and he said the traditional bunk placement is fine. The water channels are reinforced. I've had the bunks in the same place for years and the new hull has not shown any effect after 2 years on the lift.
  17. I measure the distance from my rear toes to front heal.....one finger width. Too close and onside turns are compromised, too far and I'm tail riding (which I do anyway).
  18. @Chris Rossi Does the Lithium core absorb wake shock more than the ProBuild? May not be a concern to most skiers, I just have a bad front knee.
  19. @Chris Rossi Will the Lithium core feel the same as a pro build up through 32 maybe 35 off at 34 mph? BTW, You were a great coach back in the day at the old 3 lake site in west ORL.
  20. where is the 65" senate pro?....is the Lithium just as good?
  21. @ScottScott We were pumped for you. I plan on driving LSP in the fall so hope to see you there.
  22. is the release upgraded to the 840? what is the difference from reflex?
