  1. KC Wilson says he keeps his body and head open, but looks where I do just with his eyes, especially for the gate shot. Brie Carter, (mid 39 skier) looks right across to the shore old school style. She can pull.
  2. yes! the 40/40 is where I'm speaking of from JLP. 40 feet or 2 boat lengths ahead made me a bit twisted or closed, but one boat length before the buoy is about a 45 deg path from the hook up, so looking at that target can keep head and shoulders aligned for a strong pull. Horton's point of a specific object is valid vs just nebulous smooth water.
  3. @Horton BTW where do you look after the hook up?
  4. @Horton I tend to be static in the preturn, keep the ski moving or arcing.
  5. Ski Tall Trailing arm pressure, (gets my COM headed the right direction Vision focused on 20' ahead of the buoy and ski there Feet arcing in the pre turn, THEN press on my feet after hook up Slow the boat at each new line length to keep the above and not go back to old stuff. This is the season of enjoying the rhythm.....and talk a little trash. (Trash Talk Tuesday Tourneys) class F
  6. buy a new ski..... after decades of trying, of course this is the ski and this is the year!
  7. When a transgender guy has his first period, then he/she can compete as a woman. c'mon, we were born male or female, plumbing works one way. Just because medical science can whack stuff off or sew it on, doesn't change the facts. Society has gone brain dead!
  8. i get to ski with KLP this weekend. What a prince of a guy. Knows slalom
  9. don't over weight the course, you barely need enough weight to slowly sink it or otherwise in deep water you have to dial the pressure up too much and you blow fittings. I have an accu sink with wally skier. been skiing it for the past 20 years.
  10. aye, if you want to implement Horton's ski video, ski like CP! Tall.
  11. Yes, Fleboeuf said it better. LIkewise, I am 153 at 34mph running mid 35 off.... 66 or 67?
  12. @JoelHowley does the GT R ski any bigger for weight/speed range than the GT?
  13. I have had both and back on the GT. Both are very good skis, but the GT is more forgiving and consistent. It turns well on both sides. I am mid 35 off at 34.
  14. Carter Girls and dad are about to ski the new GT-R so we will have some good impressions from 4 skiers. I'll post some info then.
  15. The Carter Girls have really liked skiing Connelly for the past few years. The ski has been evolving step by step. It has run into 39.5 and does slice through the wake.Pumped for this one.
  16. As the boat levels, torque is increased. The rudder comes with a slight torque steer. If you are by yourself driving it will need some weight to level it. I prefer more than stock, so a hand grinder to widen the relieved material on the starboard side of the trailing edge works well. Just take a little off.
  17. Took mine to a shoe shop and they glued and sewed a Wileys rubber piece to the back. cost me $12 and survived 2 more years.
  18. 66” 2018 Vapor for sale. $980 865-755-5588 too much ski for my level. Perfect shape.
  19. So which HO ski is the best to run 32 off at 34, Omni or Pro?
  20. Don’t do it. Just adds mass and makes hitting the buoys more dangerous. We’ve already been down this road. Use a sub float and less air.
  21. 150 lbs, .....syndicate pro more friendly than a radar?
  22. Any advice on the friendliest ski for an old guy to work out at 32 off, 34 mph.? The high end stuff like HO Pro, VTX, D3 EVO....or Omni or Senate? It is unlikely I'll ever run 35 off in a tournament, but the best and easiest ski to run 32's would be nice. Should I go to the wide stuff? Thanks for your thoughts.
