  1. Sorry if I offend anyone but the masters is for the best. An elite, exclusive event. There is no senior golf masters tournament during "the masters". Exhibitions like andy skiing vs bob and other fun events like the par 3 comp at Augusta are great, but a big dawg tournament to me waters it down and I side with the pros who are truly at another level vs the 34mph skiers. If his is 1 year to showcase for nautique, that is their business but to me they are diluting the prestigious tournament they've spent so many years are creating.
  2. She really was off for a while, Good to see her back! I disagree about the turns @SM‌ though to a certain extent. She has so much ski in the water, her onside puts her into leverage immediately off the ball.
  3. @Mapple send him a ski and find out. Part of the lure to your company seems to be the detailed after sale support, so keep pushing that and work with the tester. We all know there are a ton of top notch high end skis that just about anybody can ski their best on, but how many can get setup and technical advice from the best skier ever?
  4. One of my first jobs was a summer camp water ski instructor. Still the best job I've ever had to this day.
  5. @countymountie‌ I actually have not ridden the 13 strada, but have previous models as well as the vice. As has been stated the radars are all stable skis incl. The vapor. I found too much tip rise in the strada but they did help that on the 13s apparently. The vapor is night and day a better ski. So if you can afford it, do it. I don't get too wrapped up in skis, after a few sets you are generally close to or at where you were on the previous stick.
  6. Strada and vapor are completely different skis IMO.
  7. @chrisrossi or anyone else. Love to hear your thoughts on dowls in or out?
  8. I've always been a fan of starbright marine products, but by far the best wax/polish I've used is the Marine PTEF Polish. http://www.starbrite.com/item/premium-marine-polish-with-ptef?category_id=561
  9. What are you so worried about? Support a dealer and work with them, Most will offer a performance guarantee at the very least. Brown van and all.. The most important things are size and the performance level of the ski, not the brand. If you want a prophecy, just buy one.
  10. good to hear @blueski hope you get enjoy it soon, the vapor rocks!
  11. every pro skier is watching this, hoping Nate quits slalom to start footing professionally!
  12. Keep in mind the center hole on the sequence plate, on a 67 vapor meant you were well over 1/2 an inch BACK from the suggested mounting point. I had the sequence plate as far forward as possible which put the heal of the front binding at almost exactly 30"
  13. I wear smith polarized glasses. Awesome value, they last, work great, look cool and aren't a budget breaker. Need a nice wide brim hat pulled down for the glare too.
  14. I agree on the value in a sportster. I owned one. Great boats! Better performance as well but the walk through bow is great for families. Echelon will be a better wake and open water boat.
  15. 1 thing I did was increase the spread of my bindings. Running double stradas, and had always kept them as close as possible on the sequence plate. Moved back binding back 1 hole. Really woke up the ski and tightens the turning radius.
  16. For the heavier guys long line footing you'll want more power. I think they are about 260hp. Good hull for footing though. I agree 10k is a good price.
  17. looks mint from the photos. They are good boats, do not ski much different than the response. Walk through bow is nice. If it weren't so clean looking I'd Seriously question the actual hours. The Computron is suspect even if its working. Most opt for analog gauges which that boat appears to have. For anyone familiar: Are Engine hours stored on the computron.? Asking price is a bit high for me but its easy to spend big $$$ on a used boat.
  18. I put my fin firkin inside my older radar neo sock. works great!
  19. ski the same boat in the same color. with the GT40 works flawlessly.
  20. Call up all the OEMs for an offer... Great idea! Should come on all binding plates. I'll be ordering one shortly.
  21. Thought I'd bump this to he top to see if there are any other ballers that have gone through this. I'm making progress, started physio a few weeks ago which is helping tremendously. My deltoid is still angry as my therapist says. Just working on some minor movements and getting things moving a bit more. I will be in the along for another week or 2 when out of the house. Whoever was back on the water in under 3 months must not have injured themselves as severely as I have because I don't see how I'll be able to do much before 4 months at the earliest. 5-6 more likely before I can ski again. Some good news according to my PT is my dislocation was posteriorly while skiing pulls from the anterior. Less aggravating or prone to future dislocations.
  22. No issue with the 90-96 hull. I think they went no wood in 93 or 94
  23. looks good & effective, very simple! Horton I believe you use the sequence plate - have you mounted the micro-adjust to one?
  24. as I understand it the vapor wants long and shallow compared to most skis. binding further forward too. someone correct me if I'm wrong. One thing that really helped my vapor come alive was increasing the spread on my bindings. It may very well have helped on my old skis as well, but noticed the improvement immensely with the vapor.
