  1. Options: 1- it is defective. Return it under warranty. I don't think you'll be able to bend it back and have it retain it's original molded shape. 2- cut it off and live with it. You can't make it function as new and it will just become an annoyance. My opinion is it serves no critical purpose. The boot already has the strap to limit forward flex. Even if it didn't have the strap, the sides of the lower boot above the rivets limit the forward flex more than that flap of plastic possibly could. 3- Live with it stuck like that. It's kind of a fortuitous "Adam-ization" of the boot to fix the cuff in a forward flexed position. It might help!
  2. @MISkier SR-71 AKA Lead Sled http://web.mit.edu/btyung/www/nickname.html Some interesting nicknames in the list that could be co-opted for a ski!
  3. Unbihexium - doubly magic, stable, and the score for a full pass at 43off/36! Also yet to be discovered.
  4. uP2u ("pro" model) panacea ("forgiving" model)
  5. @bkreis OK, somebody has to ask. What are "hair and back mobility/stability movements"? @6balls I'm sure you jest, but I find a cup of coffee 2 hours before skiing enhances my performance.
  6. Interesting that we named a ski company last April. https://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/23290/name-a-fictional-ski-company/p1 @Than_Bogan note one of your picks for a company name.
  7. I'm more of a comedy and obscure sports fan @Than_Bogan . I must admit ochocinco wasn't even in my memory banks to recall.
  8. This one already has a name, but I think I'm going to call mine "The Ocho".
  9. You will just have to get a supershell or classic black and Adamize it.
  10. Something else to check for with that boat. Does it have working gauges besides the PP? The boat came with the Medallion MDC-1600 digital gauges and you might likely be looking at replacing those with analog at some point - info here https://rontanis.com/trd-medallion-conversion-kits-faq/.
  11. @lpskier I think you could let go with one hand - you just need to have perfect timing or plan on hooking the turn and skiing into slack. It could be a training aid to teach you to stay on the handle longer.
  12. I've been waiting 2 years for this. They finally got the shape right. ... and made one the perfect size for me!
  13. @KRoundy Now I see why you're asking what the screws do. If you have the heel cup, the screws absolutely aren't needed. If you look at my picture above, you will see the blocks on my plate don't even have the holes for the nylon screws. The nylon screws are vestigial when using a supershell. They are used for the classic shell without a heelcup.
  14. When last ski season ended I started powerlifting again after a 40 years without lifting. I bought a couple simple squat stands for $50 on craigslist to use with my 50 year old weights. I had set a couple state collegiate records back in 1980, and set the goal of achieving the same total (although a couple weight classes higher) at the IPA Nationals this year. That's right IPA - the perfect powerlifting organization for me  Powerlifting without spotters isn't a good idea. I'd love to have a cage like @jjackkrash but I just don't have the space. I started looking for a spotting solution that wouldn't take up much space and happened upon the Shermworks Free-Spotter . The website is very basic and the product doesn't have marketing polish, but I think it's a great concept and works as described. If you're benching or squatting alone, I think it's a product worthy of consideration.
  15. Prior to adding the polymorph, I had used the plate without a heelcup without a problem. The glob-o-morph just helps to center the heel with the release (like the nylon screws) and makes it more secure.
  16. The thermomorph won't stick to the boot or plate. I had the screws because my plate previously had one of the old 3d-printed heel cups.
  17. I'm just going to go for the magic ski and see what happens. I figure that'll be good for +12 balls and then I'll worry about what I can do different ;)
  18. My first thought was to solve the problem by grounding that rack with a metal plate wired to it that you drop on the ground before fueling. My second thought was how the heck is a plastic container grounded by putting it on the ground anyway since the plastic is an insulator? hmmmm?
