  1. I'm actually shocked at how far downcourse I went! I could have been well up the bank with the momentum I had.
  2. A couple more shots - my ride wasn't over Headline: Denali c85 makes a big splash I did get me and the ski to the 1/4 area @ToddF I don't think I had a good shot at the shore. Due to the yaw characteristics of the Denali my trajectory more downcourse than it appeared.
  3. @ToddF I think your on to something. I'm RFF. If that's my left leg that's straight I was skiing with the wrong foot front!
  4. @andre yes. It was a bit of a neck snapper, but I skied another 4 or 5 passes after that with greater success.
  5. I believe I can fly! No question - I didn't get the 1/4.
  6. How do I fix this? undo, redo, clear ... or maybe someone has a video I can compare :p
  7. When are we going to see some video of you giants doing something on those big boards?
  8. I always remove my boot and I highly recommend you do particularly if you have the carbon plate. One of my ski partners always left hers attached and had a couple pre-release incidents last year. She replaced the spring and still had a problem. I had her let me take a look at it before this season started and we ended up replacing both her boot and the plate with a G10 plate. My theory is that both items had taken a set to them from being attached constantly. The front toe-bar was tight on the plate, but it was angled forward a few degrees. The toe of the boot was flattened out a bit. This combination was non-optimal. The release system is composed of more than just the release mechanism - you need to pay attention to all the parts! If you've had a carbon plate for any length of time take it off the ski and look at it. I bet it's not perfectly flat anymore.
  9. Yes, and I course ski with my free ski. Not sure if it helps...
  10. Convert your Airguide to gps with this kit- http://nauticlaugic.com/airglide.html
  11. I concur with "the ski just works". We finally got our course in Tuesday and I only have 4 passes on it so far, but I have no doubt a new PB is in my near future and by more than a couple balls. A new slalom never felt so comfortable to me.
  12. @Windsurfnut The only GPS configuration needed for PP is as I stated - it should be set to output the RMC sentence only and needs to run at 4800 bps. Aaron at PP told me that newer firmware revisions retain the configuration when upgrading the firmware. Yours probably had one of these newer revisions before your upgrade so you didn't have to make any changes. Every one that I've done, quite a few for ZO and PP, I had to reset the configurations. They must have all had older firmware. Which version will or will not require the configuration to be reset I can't tell you - you will know if you can't communicate with the puck using the update software at the required 4800 bps for PP or 38400 for ZO. Every firmware update I did caused the puck to revert to 19200 bps.
  13. Note that depending on the firmware version you are upgrading from, you may have to reset the unit to 4800 bps and set to transmit the RMC sentence only. It will likely be set to 19200 after the upgrade.
  14. Zip ties work fine. Just clip the ends close and file sharp edges.
  15. Is that a problem off the SAT math section? I don't know about the fin settings for those conditions, but congratulations on making the run off.
  16. Those skis look like they've never been over the jump! The EP's were my first set of jumpers. I got the EP+Kevlar ones after that but didn't like them as much.
  17. @lpskier Not that I don't believe you, but why? They are advertised as pre-stretched. Are they not pre-stretched enough?
  18. First ride after tricks last night on the river. No course in there yet, but it feels awesome! Can't wait to get in the course with it!
  19. I think they really have cracked time travel - now it's being delivered yesterday! I just need to figure out how to get back there...
  20. The anticipation is palpable The next thing I'll be waiting for is the extra balls, I don't know if they're included in the box ;)
