  1. @Windsurfnut I haven't found that connector yet, but breadboard pin header is the same pitch. The matching connector would be a more durable option, but really, how many of these are we doing?
  2. Draw a line across the center of the ski. Put the boot on your plate and find the approximate center of your inside ankle bone and mark that position on the plate. Set the plate on the ski and put the line on the plate about 1/4" in front of the center line of the ski. Make sure you have the plate centered lengthwise. Mark the ski for your new screw holes about in the middle of each of the plate slots. Carefully drill holes just through to top sheet of the ski - you don't want to press too hard and drill clear through the bottom! Screw the plate on and adjust as needed.
  3. Maybe contact info on this page could help https://waterski.org.hk/waterski/?lang=en
  4. @bkistler Spencer Lake still exists and is in use for slalom. David rents it to some guys but hasn’t skied since Jud passed. https://www.google.com/maps/@42.1065768,-76.1854028,1107m/data=!3m1!1e3
  5. If you have a Garmin puck older than 2020 you have the older firmware and will have problems. It needs to be updated. Check my profile for a link to a thread about dual puck ZO with info. The same Garmin 18x-5Hz is used for both ZO and PP.
  6. I didn't ask him where he got it, but my guess is he got it through Corey.
  7. @c5quest It's already out... that's what I saw last weekend.
  8. @skialex standard Reflex plate or Radar plate with Reflex? One of my fellow competitors at Regionals was skiing with one last weekend and had a Radar plate with left/right specific holes for the toe bar ala @Gloersen mods.
  9. I like the sentiment expressed but take exception to the wording of it. Everyone is getting older, an undeniable fact. Declaring oneself old however always grates on me. Old is a destination, when you arrive there you are done.
  10. @Gloersen well there's a trick I wish I would have known 40 years ago. Twice I ended up cutting off a coupler and replacing a shaft that could have maybe been straightened.
  11. @paul no, you won't find anything off the shelf. Perfect Pass will update the pucks for you for Stargazer or ZO. I am also happy to do the updates for anyone for the cost of shipping. I have done if for several people here who were concerned about turnaround time with shipping to Canada.
  12. PA State Tournament is next weekend at Dave's.
  13. I don't know if he's still doing it or not, but @twhisper made this custom skin for my ARC 5 years ago. I have to believe it held up better than paint would have. It still looks good.
  14. @BKistler What year did Big Al buy that Hydrodyne? I'm thinking that twin-rig in the video I posted of Al Tyll might have been that boat.
  15. More surface area - maybe a sheet of plywood worth. What is "too old"!?
  16. Did you go back to Reading for the 1965 Eastern Regionals and see Al Tyll live? That was before my time! I joined RWS in 1980 and tricked with Jimmy Mandolos on the river just about every day for a few years. My first boat was a '77 MasterCraft I bought from him. I was the club treasurer who wrote the check that built that judges tower. The RWS sign (Jimmy donated - he owned a sign company) got moved to the shed in back shortly after Kyle opened the school.

  18. Sorry to say there are no 3-event ski clubs left in southeastern PA. The closest club with a jump would be in Middletown DE. The Black Rock Boat Club has a course on the Schuylkill River near Phoenixville, although it's not in yet. Where are you more precisely, and how far are you willing to drive?
  19. Some ideas in this thread /forum#/discussion/19274/motor-box-insulating-foam-disintegrating
  20. I'm not going to aggravate myself by watching, I'm just going to go ski.
  21. Dump the pictures and scrolling text under it. It adds no value and takes up space. On mobile, "hamburger" menu starts expanded taking up extra space when the page is first visited. When displaying "My Rankings" the range drop-down below the rankings has no effect - the display goes right back to what it was. The displayed results are linked to the "Period" drop-down settings when the My Rankings button was pressed.
  22. Sound advice from the Dr. My advice, life is short buy the ski. If you think the ski will get you a few more, it very well might. I bought 2 new skis last year and I am a happy man.
  23. O . M . G ! Do you want to spend what's left of your life on the couch? Get the problem addressed and get out there and ski*! Skiing is life! *I am not a doctor, and this is not a medical forum
