  1. I actually started at the end of march but sets have been few and far between. Only 7 or 8
  2. second video looks like a broken plate or loose horseshoe... it's happened to me. Check your equipment regularly and this won't happen!
  3. I wonder how it compares to the helix (h1)
  4. @Drago Jet rides sure, but when did big dollars ever happen in pro skiing?
  5. I wore a spray gaurd for like a week when someone told me it was just dragging in the water... probably just to stop be from being a p***. I took it off and was fine within another week. It's just one of those beautiful reminders that you get to ski again after some time off.
  6. Which ski does this replace? Or both?
  7. Take it as a wakeup call but not as a hindrance. Of course I have no idea what it's like to have that degree of injury but it seems like very good motivation to perfect your technique. Stop scrapping, stop hanging onto stupid s**t. Ski smoother and more efficiently than ever before and you will continue to improve. You can either take that attitude and approach and succeed or you can make excuses.
  8. All i know is that my muscles don't like to function in the cold and that is a bigger variable to me than whether the water is slow or fast
  9. I only go about once a year or so, so I don't own snow skis but for $99... damn. Anyone want to buy a ft and sell me their snow skis? anyone?

  11. Anyone buying a flextail this christmas? I'll gladly buy your $99 snow skis
  12. get on a rehab program and dont make it worse than it already is by skiing on it and possibly reinjuring before it's healed. Take ibuprofen to reduce the inflammation, use ice, and start getting it strong again
  13. I was there too and it was basically what @D3dude said. CP asked for a reride because of a loose buoy floating around at 41. It was several minutes before his reride so they gave him a warmup and he thought he was getting the entire round back so he went out at 35.
  14. The new shell is larger, correst? Is that an improvement, or is it just different? What's the reason for that? Also does the double horseshoe affect the ability to release?
  15. Are you really supposed to make the buckles on the r-style tight? I run mine very loose so it doesn't hold me back on the ski. I went to this from a rtp
  16. does it not affect the performance of the ski at all?
  17. I definitely would not like it if the whole thing was handicapped. Personally I'm really consistent in tournaments and I have to pb to beat my average.
  18. I'd love to see him run 41 in some tournaments. Also there's a guy near me who is a dealer that i think has a LFF raptor
  19. Does that list include 6@41 scores or only scores into 43? It'd be interesting to see how many 41's have been run even if there was no 43 score.
  20. Motion IS relative. If I understand the ft design correctly then the fin does not move relative to where it is mounted. It is the ski itself that flexes...
  21. @GOODESkier ever heard of that guy Drew Ross?
  22. You're trying to "bleed speed" off going into the big bad offside turn. Realise that speed with proper direction is a GOOD thing. What you're doing is dragging your inside hip (right hip going into 2,4,6) and then pushing the back of the ski to try to pivot. Offside turns defintitely don't work that way. Going into the ball you must push your inside hip in front of you and carve the ski on the tip. There's a really good video of regina running -32 at quarter speed on youtube. She does a great job of executing this. Edit: I now realize thatI just restated what @Milford said
