  1. @BRY I am an AWSA member and am a certified AWSA driver. I have skied in a couple tournaments and didn't catch the bug, yet...
  2. @kstateskier I bet he can run 35 RFF but not that smooth
  3. @Horton I have not followed the different classes of tournaments. I see what you guys are saying, but it still seems a little silly to me. Sacha's score being questioned got me thinking...
  4. @MattP why such a dumb question? I might be jesting a little, but if your skiing on an un surveyed or unofficial course, and using unqualified judges isn't that just a fun tournament and should be considered practice?
  5. @LeonL I've tried to read the rule book, talk about boring!! Seems like every single person on Facebook can afford the technology, seems like anyone who owns or runs a ski lake could afford it to! As far as the senior judges go, we've seen some pretty questionable calls from them lAtely. I think they are great! And I apprIciate them, but I still don't get it
  6. Is not a non record capable tournament just a glorified PB tournament?
  7. I don't get it, with today's technology, isn't it the simplest thing in the world (and cheap) to have confirmed times and end course video. Why isn't every tournament record capability no matter the level? If the line is measured, the time is good and the boat is straight, its a record. It seems really lazy, what am I missing? Is it all about cheating officials?
  8. I'd like to see someone pull a Jeff Rodgers and beat Nate to a new world record. I think that brought the best out in Andy and others when Jeff beat him to 43 off. Maybe this kid has a shot at it
  9. I've skied the 16 and 17, both brand new, you obviously cant go wrong with either! I ended up buying the 16 having felt equally is comfortable on it and it came with a cheaper price.
  10. @Deanoski Where's that ski site at?
  11. If someone got 10 38's in a row they should get a statue made of themselves
  12. With the way the pros are skiing these days I think a 39.5 spin contest would be better. Maybe 38 for the women 39 for the men
  13. @Edbrazil Looking at that list I see Jaret has held the overall record for 14 years now, that's pretty impressive!!
  14. I'm pretty sure wade cox said he's got to 4 ball in practice. I'm not sure if Nate has it in him? But I think someone is going to run it in the next 200 years or so...
  15. Can anybody explain technique wise why I looser onside and a tighter off side is feeling better to me?
  16. @BraceMaker I like that idea. I have been a little worried that the amount of give I had could lead to permanently damaging the boot. Probably not though? I might try that...
  17. The best I ever skied the rivet on the right side of my upper cuff was lose and allowing my ankle to lean to the right more than normal. I didn't realize it at the time, as soon as I noticed, I fixed it and the boot does not feel as good now.
  18. @Orlando76 And then you woke up. Just kidding. I've fished and skied in Florida and that sounds about right! The same scenario does not hold true in my home state. The fact is, the majority of fisherman here are FAT LAZY jerks who not only see any watersports enthusiasts as an adversary, but they see anyone with a better boat and better gear as an adversary. Your story made me want to head back to Florida, that's for sure!!
  19. @Sledgehammer congratulations!!!
