  1. @BraceMaker swiming jammers is good alternative to neo shorts in hot days. Also unlimited No of color/design options )
  2. Beginning of this season physical conditions and mental stress almost made me to give up skiing. The sequence of HO freeride - Radar Union - My regular ski, returned me back to course (or at least to the rhythm of 6 turns. @208maverick Radar Union is a proper instrument to get back on track. IMO
  3. From the point of view of physics as a science, the main contribution for easier start gives a part of ski (No of sq.cm's) which is behind front binding. So w/o discussion about any particular ski the choice is the ski with wider tail and more centimeters of front boot placement. IMO
  4. Hard to tell - whether the rubber stretches or foot getting slim. Since my old willey rtp getting loose or tight depending on my weight, I tend to think about 2nd variant. Also - due to chemical processes in the vulcanized rubber over the time, normally rubber becomes harder and less elastic.
  5. Is it possible to ride Hovercraft behind a wakeboarding boat ? Friends inviting to spend time on the river, they are wakeboarders....
  6. Try few times to start in swimming jammers. Some water shorts have a noticeable parachuting effect that could make start harder.
  7. @kirkbauer many thanks for your info about harness. My ski friend who is on rehab afrer spine problem is keen to get it! About your topic - try to ask every one around offline for advise. From three dozen of answers you will get one which works for you ) My modest input - "Chest to the knees" and "Knees to the chest" are "two big differences" )) For some folks who are lighter weight first is good, for some who are heavier second does work. For me - "knee to the chest" means easy start, whereas "chest to the knees" - is always a failure. Also do not get to tired. After several fails it is better to go to the boat for a break. May be it helps
  8. Those who decided to live forever should stop drinking any alcohol immediately.
  9. Big advantage of Stokes over Camaro is real zip with big teeth - it makes closing/opening superneasy, lock is never caught halfway.
  10. Agree with @skialex who IMO is a fan of O'Neil )))). If O'Neil will decide to produce pure waterski wetsuit (plain one, without extras such as paddings, knee/elbous protections, key pockets, difference thickness, extra pannels etc, it will certainly be one of the best on the market.
  11. @ColeGiacopuzzi Thank you for comprehensive explanation! Radar Union 69!
  12. @ColeGiacopuzzi thank you for answer. Summarizing opinions - I would order Union 69 as a spare ski for difficult times. One more question: what do you think - is this a silly idea in the meantime to move front boot on my Senate 67 up to inch forward in order to make more ski under and behind rear foot to facilitate getting up? Or it is wrong way?
  13. @UWSkier What do you think about Radar Terrain? Or this is too much for my task?
  14. @DW I will investigate this option. Thank you! Also may be Denali could make custom ski with extra surface in the tail area?
  15. @Vernon Reeve Thank you. Makes sense. I tried my older Senate 67, which was good for me few years ago. 69 would give 1 inch more of length to tail that could facilitate getting up. Problem is that no one around me uses 69 ski ))). As an experiment I will move front boot on my 67 Senate forward as far as possible to check this guess.
  16. My apologies for lot of words is the below post. Because of couple of injures this winter and rehab period Im weaker and heavier. Beginning of the water season is much harder anf frustrating. Water start is more challenging and painful and skiing is also less comfortable due to new weight (well over 200). Temporarily I returned to old HO Freeride. It solved problems with start though turning and wakecrossing is not the same as used to be. Im a modest 15off skier and ended last season on Denali C85, which is the greatest ski I ever tried). Week ago tried Radar Senate - not much of sucess ( So, at least for this season Im trying to find a ski with more or less modest sport performansce and wide tail for easier start. Does such ski exists or this is just theoretical dream? )) Or maybe there are a custom production or modification of existing models? Thanks!

  18. In my personal case it very much depends on breakfast: brioche & cappuccino gives more speed than plain green salad, independently on water temp. )
  19. Agree. New "semidry" suits from ION or ONeil are even superior comparing to baggys or Oneil fluid. In ION I have another issue - it is too hot in winter water )
  20. @The_MS Why not to combine all of these? We should take the best from both worlds! )
  21. There is a boot adapter plate to change DC boot to universal one https://www.perfski.com/ski/slaloms/waterski-bindings/ho-ski-boot-adapter-plate-front.html
