  1. Yes, the water temp is good. The depth is the only thing that seems off.
  2. I know this is not screen related and don’t want to thread jack, but I see some good knowledge being shared here so it is hard to resist: My 2016 Team Edition 200 has a funky depth finder issue. Sometimes it reads ok for a couple of seconds and then reads “100 ft”. Mostly it just sits at 100 ft. Do I need a new transducer? Is it just a lose wire? Anyone else have this issue? My screen works great.
  3. Got my OffCourse just before the holiday weekend and UPS says the CO2 cartridges and splash pellets will be here today. I can't wait to give this thing a try! The OffCourse hardware itself appears to be all top-notch quality. Everything has the look and feel of solid hardware and thoughtful design.
  4. Wow, that was fast. That price seems like an astounding bargain. Congrats.

    Best Bimini?

Should have mentioned this - call them.
  6. I agree with @Horton on this episode of Spray Makers. It is really good. I actually have listened to this one twice to try to really absorb / grasp what they are talking about and how to incorporate it into my skiing. As someone who is working his way up to 34 MPH and 15 off, I'm probably one of those people who pull too long but "get away with it" due to skiing at a longer line. I'd like to stop that now. The concepts here are a bit different than how I have thought about skiing before. I might go listen a third time to really understand the how of the edge change at the center of the wake. The main thought I believe is: Don't push the ski out but roll onto the inside edge with my ski right under me - meaning in the same place. Don't manipulate it or change body position. Yeah, I need to go listen again. PS - I think this is the Freddie Winter video that Rossi mentions in the episode. I keep looking at the edge change and just how still everything is. Good visual for sure. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cb2j05kF4ry/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  7. Wild. What does my 2016 200 have? All digital or part digital / part cable? Nothing “feels” mechanical about it.
  8. @Jmoski I think that this is the part on Nautiqueparts.com: https://www.nautiqueparts.com/product/electronic-throttle-aluminum-handle-urethane-knob-2/

So, can others still get in on the bet for spirits? I’ve been ignoring this thread for a couple of days and discover that I’ve missed a lot. The entertainment value here sky-high.
  10. I think 2022 is going to be amazing for the Pro Tour. Loved the webcast and the coverage. It is so exciting to put this type of world-class coverage up on my TV and watch it live. Thank you all the sponsors and TWBC! Great job. And remember that this is just a warm-up first-of-season type of event. Things only get better from here!
  11. The Redline is an old ski, but it was top of the line in its day so why are now looking to buy low-end ski builds? If you can swing it I suggest you try a few different skis before buying, and try the newer/better/more-expensive skis and materials. I grew up skiing on a Redline and loved it. I currently ski a Senate Lithium and have tried a Senate Pro at a demo day and will definitely buy a Pro next time. The materials make a difference.
  12. @RichardDoane THANK YOU! I had no idea. I'm going to start saving my receipts!
  13. Do you want to ski a course or free-ski?
  14. I'm a few skis into my Competition s-line and I really like this rope. If you are sitting on the fence still give it a try!
  15. @Taynton I have a double-Vapor setup. They are mounted on a Radar Carbon Sequence Plate. @Fastguy888 I just keep the booties on my feet and swim in with them like I'm wearing socks. I agree that the fit of the Vapors is so good that you don't have to go crazy with cinching them down tight. I discovered recently that when wearing waterproof socks I was able to slip out of the boots and therefore keep them in the shells after a ski. Just another option to try. @Mastercrafter I used to think like you do, but one (really) bad experience with a pre-release changed my mind. While not as stiff as a hardshell I actually like the connection I have with my ski better with my Vapors than I did with a Reflex Supershell. That is just my $.02. I think there is not one thing that works for everyone.
  16. Having skied both the Vapor and the Pulse, I'd go with the Vapor. It is a very comfortable, secure and high-performing boot.
  17. I really like how Trent points back to what happens from 1 to the wake and notes how that puts you in a bad position, as in "you have nowhere else to go." That is pretty insightful. Have you tried dialing down that "spike" as he calls it from the odd ball to the wake and see if that allows you to come up in a more balanced position for the onside turn?
  18. No, I had a Reflex pre-release on me and I'm never doing that again. Was probably my fault (but you never really know) and at every wake crossing with that boot I had a little thought in the back of my head that wondered if it would do it again and I was tentative. Not a good way to ski. I'm skiing double-boot Vapors directly mounted on a Sequence plate. I cinch the boa laces down till they are snug and keep the upper bungee laces comfortable where I chinch them up but not to where there is no stretch left. In a bad crash I'm sure I'd either come out of them or the ski would stay on both of my feet depending on the type of crash. The Vapors feel so good and ski so well for me I actually prefer this setup compared to a Reflex for performance.
  19. I mounted my boots on a Radar Sequence Plate and have been happily skiing them. They feel great right out of the box.
  20. I got my S Lines rope today. For the record I got the Competition Series Slalom Line - Solid with fleck / Gray Mainline / 39.5' off. I free skied the rope at 28 off and I really, really like this rope. It felt a bit more stretchy than I imagined it would, but it was my first ski with it and I was coming off a rope with probably 150 sets in it (it was rock hard). Right after the ski my friends looked at the rope and I think we could see it settling in. I really loved how the rope felt while skiing. After a couple of pulls I stopped thinking about it and just skied. It felt great and I was very happy with the performance. As mentioned above the self tightening loop design is really good and it works well on my Nautique pylon. I am one very satisfied customer and look forward to buying more S Line ropes in the future!
  21. @skierjp beat me to it. Tower Bimini is the way to go. Custom made, great quality, great service. Give them a call and let them talk you through it if you have any questions.
  22. Ordered. So cool to have another option!
