  1. Ski Nautique will no longer sponsor the Big Dawg after this year, it has run its course.
  2. I drove both this weekend, in an REL, same divisions, different rounds, the Nautique with the 6.2 has more power, the MC with 5.7 gets the job done, the MC handles better, the Nautique display screen is heads above everybody else's, the MC is quieter, MC has more leg room. Skiers did complain about the SN wake at 22, MC wake is better. Price wise MC has it beat by a large margin, just make sue you get the carpet in the MC to knock down the noise
  3. @Wish according to the Callaway staff they pumped 18 million gallons of water out of the lake the week before the event, the drain system they have used in the past wasn't working, the lake rose over 8 inches after Saturdays downpour. And nothing was done to drop the level. Callaway operates on a tight budget draining the lake twice wasn't part of it, I can give other examples of this but it serves no purpose.
  4. I'm with you @Bruce Butterfield, it would be really nice to have someone calling a trick run that knew we were trick skiing at not wakeboarding, the incorrect pronunciation of names was another, never understood why there was a need to holler, once again this is not wrestling, and I am friends with Miss Debra!!
  5. If you really love the sport you'll be there rain or shine, weather looks okay both days. It's a beautiful day at Callaway today!!
  6. Having been around RJ since her college days, I can truthfully say she is the same girl I've known for nearly 20 years, from being in the boat for 3 hours at the Southern Regionals judging, to putting in buoys, to Alabama football games, she never changes, absolutely driven to be the best, her work ethic is beyond approach. How long she can sustain this is really up to her.
  7. @disland the AWSA riles and policies are not useless under AWSA rules, a R event is sanctioned through AWSA with the approval of IWWF, the boat will have to comply with AWSA towboat in this country
  8. @Horton MC was running an ad not long ago for $59,999 I believe.
  9. @disland if the boat is tested with ballast and approved this fall at the boat test the record will count. Unless SN asks for an earlier or separate test, which have been done in the past.
  10. @Greg Banish and why are you so interested in dropping two hundred pounds, that can easily change by the amount of fuel on board or the number and size of passengers. 200# it's going to make much difference.
  11. LLUSA

    .

Just booked my room at the lodge 550 for two nights welcome
  12. Already rolling at LLUSA with air temps in the mid 80's water is mid 60's
  13. This is a dead horse since the early 70's when Ricky as an exhibition in Germany it has been the pipe dream to get water skiing in the Olympics. Listen to what I am saying, it will not happen in 10, 20, or even 30 years, the use of a motorized propulsion throws it out the window. We have wasted a lot of money following the dreams of others and that has only gotten us more regulations and oversight and for what?
  14. Now that USAWS ED Bob Crowley has officially stated he plans to retire mid summer, the next in line may be just down the road.
  15. @theboardingschool @ntx sounds great as @ntx says until somebody get hurt, I guess your not sanctioning the event so no insurance available? Inevitable when you mix beer water and boats somebody will get hurt, don't be surprised if it's your friend who has no health insurance and decides to sue you to cover the bill. I've been fortunate that with the two serious injuries we have had that I didn't get sued. I hope you have 2-3 LLC's you operate under, I do now.
  16. @Jody_Seal the company you referred to wanting more events at Regionals and Nationals was also the same company that 15 years ago fought to keep this from happening when another company was pulling the lion's share of tournaments. Funny how things come full circle.
  17. Wish you would get back to skiing tournaments, fun is in the winning
  18. @Horton amen to that, why do groups with under 500 members have any voice, I opposed this in 1992 and the board tried to throw me out of the Nationals
  19. Had a C4,5.6 done in December started skiing in May that was 17 years ago no problems
  20. FYI Alabama does offer financial support to skiers
  21. @lpskier why do you have to even enter this conservation. Aubies are always second wanting to be what they will never be Alabama just sayin
  22. Better things are on the way, @Than_Bogan it's RTR, it's better than you think.
  23. We've had our 17 since middle August, turning 200 hours today, boat has run as perfect as it could, and drives very well. We do have the 409, only thing I see is the 10 sec delay on the screen coming up, the rudder has been worked on, but this boat tracks.
  24. @Booze the only person I know that has more money in the back of his truck than he does in his truck.
  25. @Eric Francois there were no other bids, the amount of money and requirements IWWF requires eliminates a lot of sites. I know first hand ie. the World Games is very expensive and it weren't for the city of Birmingham paying for everything we wouldn't be doing it
