  1. Our site - the Pond- in San Jose is closed down for the time being in concert with the 7 county Shelter-In-Place health order (in our case Santa Clara County) we will see if it gets lifted early April.
  2. Yes there was a great thread on this... The Goode 9100 was a total game changer for me. But that was late---past your post question. there was a period where the KD7000 was the ski here in NorCal. Late 90s And I have posted photos of my EP Stilleto which was a great ski, and some say (though I have no real info on this) that it was the inspiration for the shape for the 9100. The Stilleto was super stiff. Connelly in the 80s and early 90s === Mike Kjelannder
  3. Somehow I thought it was EP but have no real data on that
  4. Such unexpected and sad news, and a great loss. He was a tireless ambassador for our sport. My thoughts and condolences to Dawn and the family, and all of Team Goode all over the world.
  5. Sunset Ranch in Galt CA sold for 1,900,00 after being on market for a while. Just a data point.
  6. Thanks for the update! Just curious where is Dave Miller these days? Ski well !
  7. Is there video to come? Was there a spectacular wipe out at 2? Congratulations @FWinter
  8. Really love In Tow with Spectra and the safety bar is recommended. Of course Masterline are great too. It has been said that thicker handles may reduce arm strain, I am 5 11 XL gloves and went from a 1.00" to a 1.092" ( I use a 13") and have had no 'tennis elbow' ever since the change, admittedly I am one data point but there may be something to that. I am approaching the dawn of Men7 age too. Since that when I take the occasional set with the old spare 1.00 I can tell I am squeezing more.
  9. @Horton Thanks for your great and really objective reviews! And great photos in this one, too. This is a ski I hope to try out this season.
  10. The 900 hours on the LT1 is not the issue with that boat, it's the price and the lack of PP. Those are just great slalom boats to train on.
  11. Somehow I wish you had a fast GPS transponder on so we could map out where you are when you get to the wake, at those extreme short lines it still looks amazingly early. Great stuff there, those edge changes are more than inspirational.
  12. Being in a surf and skate capital of the world, here's some pertinent data on skateboarders- database of 6,047 who entered competitions: Hope that paste comes out okay. Way more skaters than ballers, but there is still a bias to goofy (RFF) in the pro ranks, even though they are slightly less in the general population. And even more for you all the term goofy foot comes from a 1937 Disney cartoon when Goofy was surfing. Maybe here in Santa Cruz.
  13. Thanks for posting that it is just a fabulous video!
  14. Reports from SCCWSC Pond are 48-52 deg today. It has been a cold Feb for sure.
  15. Well had to jump in here, I think it is snowing at this site right now. In the Adirondacks, and @adkh20skier @lpskier and a few others know of this site. The course was pulled two weekends ago I think. Beautiful location and if no boat traffic it skis great!
  16. @lpskier it's a 1952 Century Resorter #27 out of 55 made that year.
  17. you might be in Mens 6 if this is the boat you learned to slalom behind
  18. I'm in Men 6. Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven't met yet.
  19. The aspect ratio from the boat cam is wrong, it's as if it was shot in 16:9 and then played to the player 4:3 so it looks all wrong, the rope angle and everything is hard to watch. Boat cam has problems in transmission too it seems. The shore cam is better to watch by far (if they kept it on a good tripod it would be even better). Whoever set it up did not watch it much, the banners on the bottom cut off the skier action from the shore cam all the time. Move them to the top Please. for the finals?
  20. At the Santa Clara Ski Club Pond it was 67 deg F today.
  21. Thanks ballers, and was thinking the saline nasal flush would work so having that confirmation helps. I do not get a reaction to the point of getting headaches, I feel for you who do. I could go surfing after skiing, will let you know if that helps!
  22. There's a title for you! It's not as bad as I intended- my question is do any of you have sinus inflammation (like a hay fever reaction) after skiing at certain times of the year (like now in my case). It seems to be after trees pollinate and/or algae starts growing in ponds. Never get this in salt water, only contained freshwater sites- and not all sites. And what remedy do you use if this happens to you?
