  1. I had a pre-release twice the same morning, the spring was too loose. Now I check at least 3 times a year.
  2. Excellent video and the wake looks sooo goood. Abigail looks very concentreted but not nervous which is good and really great skiing from Horton.
  3. I would add the LaPoint ski made one at the time and customised for the skier, this means every ski might be different .....and knowing that Kris has tons of knowledge also. This is a great time for trying new ski
  4. @Horton I agree as a new old slalom skier (64 and starting slaloming in 2014) Regina's technique is easier and more easy to understand and to emulate (34mph skier)
  5. Regina lost at the Masters vs Manon as well.....in 2018
  6. @o2bnMaine you are right about your wife not willing to drop. At first she must enjoy and have fun, and she is improving.....good job !!!!!!
  7. @MarcusBrown This morning I skied on an open water lake and bcause of wakebord boats, noway to slalom around buoys, too dangerous, so I did free ski and ....I have been doing exactly what you said .....men it put my hips at te right place instantly....whooaaoooo....I can feel my season will be different this year......thank you so much for your words so easy to understand and to replicate
  8. Is she running 7 passes without stoping ? Maybe it could help to stop and talk about what she felt and then go for another pass focusing on ....angle or holding the lean a bit longer etc.... Just an idea.....
  9. @lpskier actually I was asking if "you lpskier" had the opportunity to try the ski yet but I understand that you are waiting for a 68 ski. I was asking because I am 64 and 6'2" and I ski on a T2 and I am very curious to hear about your comment. But hey living outside of the USA, I am not buying a ski this year anyway, so whenever... I am awlways curious about new ski in the line of the Mapple skis, KLP engineering too.
  10. @lpskier any chance you could ski on one yet ?
  11. I still have a O'Neill slasher and used it for 3 years, very comfy an good quality but IMO not as good as Evo2 for protection
  12. Samantha was and will stay all her life 2 times junior world champion ... !!!! so watch her !!!
  13. At 64 and running 32mph on open water and 34mph on tournament....the Evo2 from Stokes is the best I've used regarding protection and floatation as well. And I do toss the handle too when I feel a big crash would be possible.....
  14. @MarcusBrown THANK YOU !!!! I have been reading about flowpoint method and I really like it because you and Jenny did put together a whole program and to me it is like everything you explain is for a reason, not because " that the way it is..." and for me who sometimes think too much I have been told, is great !!
  15. So helpful !!! to see that Will keep a 45° with his elbow and keep the handle low. I try to do this but often it brings my shoulder down because I do extend my arm too early and I can feel it is not good. Great insight.
  16. @MarcPre I too live in Geneva Switzerland and if you want some help, feel free to email me and if I can help you find a good used ski...I'll be happy to do so. You find my email clicking on my name
  17. I use a Masterline handle and an InTow rope great combination !!
  18. I would suggest to get an HO Omni carbon on SIA, great ski for open water !!!
  19. Any official results or webcast or website ?
  20. I would add to @Than_Bogan comment that you can be stacked and be flat on the ski, the result is no speed building and even at 15off , it will be hard to run the slalom above 32mph. So stacked is great and adding some leverage and building speed is the beginning of the key, plus building speed at the right spot is best, not after the second wake but to the CL is the best. And as a beginner, crossing the wake with angle on the ski is so much safer than ski flat.....that is a mental game. I am a 32-34mph skier 15off on public lake and we have extremely rarely glass water so we have to overcome the reflex to stand in a denfensive way....which is hips back, like Marcus Brown shows it on his video "Athletic stance" . And we have to get ride of that muscle memories and it is time consuming, I know by experience.
