  1. I have an 11.5 to 12 shoe and use both the aluminum plate & plastic plate version & get up with one foot in. I have the HRT on multiple skis..if it was too tight I just loosened up the laces.. Works really well for me..
  2. Would anyone like to share a comparison between the VTR vs. the VTX?
  3. I was @ the Midwest regionals when Cale & Nate were in a runoff. Great conditions just a light wind. It was fun to see! I saw the 39.5 off @ 36 mph pass, it sure didn't look like that short of line such a smooth run.. When Cale turned 2 ball I thought to myself he is going to run this, no question about it..
  4. I have always been a rtp skier, tried the double boots a few times.. This year I trying the hybrid rear toe (hrt) from Radar.. it takes a little adjusting but I can still get out of the water with one leg & then wiggle my back foot into the hrt..
  5. I have skied the HO v type & the HO VTR both are really good skis but I found they ski a bit different. I have not tried the vtx but am curious about that one & the new pro..
  6. I've cracked a rib before & it was 3 weeks for me then I skied a bit with just jumpers behind the boat to be on the water again.. I even looked into getting a rib protector or flak jacket as they say to wear under the vest but not sure if or how that would work?
  7. I would have to say. Some of the places in California that look really nice. Radar lake. Okeeheelee park Andy's lake. Skied in Texas , Awesome Skied Mccormicks, very nice.
  8. I like free skiing for the conditioning, I also think it is the purest form of the sport, skiing all different line lengths works for me. A few years back I was at an on water clinic with one of the pro skiers, we skied the course but when it came time for the pro to ski they just skied open water & it looks the same as if they were skiing the course.
  9. I think it is just a color difference like you said..
  10. I really like my 6.1 so I am curious to see the review on the T3 if it has some similarities..
  11. @kelvin thanks for posting the webcast link of the event..
  12. I am having really good luck with the Radar hrt ( hybrid rear toe plate). I am able to get out of the water with just my front foot in the front binding & then put my rear foot in the hrt boot on top of the water.. It is a great in between option of the rear toe plate & rear boot!
  13. My 1st season on a HO syndicate, but the hyperlite, liquid force have been good for me..
  14. Most of my skiing is in Minnesota. For a short sleeve top I like the O Neill hammer 1mm. For Long sleeve KSO, not sure if it is made anymore, or ten 80 because it is thick 3 or 4 mm..
  15. @Gloersen How would you compare the T3 to the Mapple 6.1.. I really like the stability & ease of turning on the 6.1
  16. I have been skiing on the sixam & Mapple 6.1, does anyone know how the v-type would compare to those skis?
  17. HO gloves, a few of AM skis (6.1, sixam, T2,elite),rash guard or neoprene top, weight lifting belt.
  18. I have spent a lot of time on the sixam 2.0. It is a great ski. Stable & easy turning. It would be fun if it was brought back into the current line, maybe an updated version with a carbon fiber Composition..
  19. I am interested in hearing some of the reviews of the new rear boot/plate options.. The radar HRT & reflex boot look interesting.. I have used a rear toe plate forever with a HO animal front boot..
  20. I am interested in hearing some of the reviews of the new rear boot/plate options.. The radar HRT & reflex boot look interesting.. I have used a rear toe plate forever with a HO animal front boot..
  21. It is amazing how far the skis have come over the years, shapes, materials, sizes..rocker & bevel designs.. Lots of good ones out there.. I have always looked for stability & ease of turning in a ski..
