  1. No @Sethro , was playing pickle ball with some friends and the knee just collapsed.
  2. Unbelievably, another season ending injury! After taking 25 years off of skiing I bought a 91 Prostar as my kids were getting into skiing. Boom, shoulder surgery season over. Last year, torn hamstring in July, season over. This was to be my first healthy season, taking my first passes at 22' off, pretty consistent at 15'off. Boom, blown MCL, waiting for the MRI for ACL determination. My ski buddies and I were planning a trip to Orlando in November to do a guys weekend at a ski school. Ughh, I have had it......
  3. I went to west marine and got a perfect match for my 91 prostar. It was a Taco marine product.
  4. I really want to ski the Radar Senate Lithium, I am using the TX. For me it's going to come down to the TX or the Senate 67.
  5. I am at your level and the same size as you. I am skiing on a 67 HO TX Super Lite and love it. Don't let the wide ride fool you, this ski rips and is very forgiving of this old mans mistakes.
  6. @Green I have been skiing on the 2014 TX SL and LOVE it! @savaiusini , Tom received the skis yesterday and he skied the CX this morning. He loved it. Looking forward to trying it myself!!
  7. @hemlock I watch that video frequently. It is helpful. I wish it was at 1/4 speed like Terry Winters video!
  8. @matthewbrown thank you for this. The way you present this makes it some of the most easily digested info I have read. As a 50 year old guy aspiring to 22' off I appreciate the way you present this. @Horton , this type of discussion is what helps a lot of us (me) lesser skiers find a "nugget" we can apply and improve our skiing!

    Rub Rail

I replaced the rub rail and insert on my 91 prostar. Not a hard job. The rail itself was screwed to the hull, I did need a heat gun to bend it around corners. Also, I soaked the insert in hot water to make it more flexible. Then I used a screw driver to help tuck it into the rail. West Marine was a great resource to find the rail size I needed. Makes the boat look a lot nicer!
  10. Just PM'd you, I will take the 65 if you have it. Perfect ski for my wife
  11. Is there a sizing guide to reference for a handle, or is it more by feel?
  12. @jcamp, I have never competed in a tournament. Not sure I am tournament material!
  13. After graduating from college and starting a career, I stopped skiing for 25 years. 2 years ago my kids got me back into skiing. We bought a used Prostar 190 and the kids loved it! I then immediately had shoulder surgery and missed the year. Last year, I tore my hamstring and missed 1/2 of July and the rest of the summer. It's been a tough go! Today it changed, 15" 30mph, it felt great! Thanks @savaiusini for the HO TX Superlite recommendation and the demo last summer, right before I tore my hamstring (arghhh). What a difference from my 1985 O'Brien TRC!! Looking forward to 22' off by the end of the summer!!
  14. watching the video was fantastic. Water still in high 40's here in VT, can't wait for summer to get here! Missed all of July, August, and most of September with a torn hamstring. First ski of the year last week, ouch.....
  15. @skinut , I wondered if somebody was going to mention that! It is the 27.5 plus. Super fun bike. Sold my enduro last year and bought that. Really fun with the plus tires.
  16. @MuskokaKy , yes went to GPS speedo's a couple years ago!
  17. The interior was dated and cracking so I replaced the skins and carpet, as well as updating the decal kit. Feels like a new boat! Just a little cheaper!
  18. I have read that if you are running an RTP set up, you should move your boot forward 1/8 - 1/2 inch forward an move the RTP back a bit from the front boot. Why is this?
  19. Ha! 66f is too cold?! Wow....Vermont would be tough on you..
  20. HI @jtr I sent you an email
  21. @Horton did you ski both the 66 and the 67.5? did you have a preference?
