  1. If you are progressing well i wouldnt change. I didn't like how my foot slid around on my old combo skis rtp. I tried double boot when I demoed my new Senate this summer and didn't care for it. My solution was the HRT, stops the side to side slide I didn't like, but still allows my heel to lift.
  2. Sorry man i dont know what to say. Hopefully someone else here remembers what they did.
  3. @lpskier is this the app you are trying to use? If not, that's what you want. If so, I'm sorry I can't really help. I know for sure I didn't enter any bank info.
  4. I noticed that too. Didn't want to say something and risk a panda award or something. Lol
  5. @Justin_C how well do the sticky mounts come off the ski? Any damage? @Mad_Footer those look good but looks like they are all out of stock. Wonder how well the big gopro suction cup would work?
  6. @lpskier it does try and get you to sign up for their "premium" type thing. You do not need to give them any bank info for the app to work for using your camera.
  7. What do you guys use to mount on the ski? Just the included sticky mounts? How well do they come off and do they damage the ski any?
  8. Found a set of old skis laying around at a race track I help at. Just wodering if they are anything special, and am i asking to hurt myself by using them. Im mostly asking about the red ones as the wooden one is a jr.
  9. They do make a floaty for the session, I have one on its way to me now. I am watching this post closely as well for ideas. Right now I just have it pointing back off the boat.
  10. @ScottScott that was so me last year! This year I ditched the trainer rope on the first attempt and never looked back. I still miss one or two here and there but am much more consistent.
  11. @OldboyII I noticed that about the pro' s too. I think there are 2 reasons for that. 1. they are way lighter then most of us i'm sure. 2. they are pros! But seriously I started to nail more of my starts after watching my first few pro streams online. The biggest thing I figured out was keeping my hands under water on the starts seemed to help me. I don't know if it really matters but it has seemed to help me. Also, taking tips from here about staying balled up as well.
  12. I have a HRT and love it. I need to wiggle in a little bit, you might be able to loosen enough to slide in on a one legged start
  13. Well we made it out for the 4th day in a row today. Just a bit sore but thought I have made more improvement. Still not 100% committed to the crossing but I am not deathly afraid of it anymore. Still feels like and looks like I am letting the boat pull me forward at the waist just after my turn. I think that my focus of keeping my weight forward on the ski while turning is causing this. Of course I just have to add today's crash to the end of the clip as well, because who doesn't like watching a good crash? I really can't tell what caused it. I don't know if I should keep posting progress or if it is just cluttering up the forum so some input on that would be nice as well.
  14. Being on the alloy I don't believe you have an option to adjust your fin.
  15. Slowed down today and felt I made some progress crossing the wake. I look to be sticking my butt out and leaning forward though and am planning on trying to fix that this week. Not perfect by any means but it sure did feel good to actually feel a little pull across the wake. Also comes with a little crash for your viewing pleasure!
  16. Well I made it out once last weekend and did a few whips. Couldn't ski today as we didn't make it out early enough to beat the traffic. I did however check our speed with my phone speedometer and compared it to the boats. We were pulling me at 30mph give or take on the boat speedo which registered on my phone as about 36. Will defiantly be slowing down tomorrow and working on my edges again.
  17. I had the same problem as @Chef23 with my foot sliding around so I went with a HRT on my new ski and couldn't be happier.
  18. I am about your size and when i demoed the Senate I was told I should get the 69. I do not ski in the course but am around 30mph and 15 off. I have no complaints about it so far as I cannot ski even close to it's potential.
  19. No not in our price range right now. Just did some pricey repairs on ours and bought a fishing boat. Might look a bit more seriously this fall/winter if the right deal pops up. Thanks for the thought though, just another reason this site is so awesome!
  20. @ToddL I have one of these mounted on the back of the boat. I might be able to find a small pvc cap and cut a slit for the rope and mount the camera on top of that. Will have to get measurements next time we go out.
  21. @UWSkier yeah it's an 84. We dropped in a 350 and modified the interior a bit by adding a large box in the back instead of the little rear seats to add more room to work on the larger engine. We did move the battery to the front to help with some of the weight difference. Slower it is. I'm just glad to be worrying about something other than if I am going to make it out of the water on starts or not.
  22. Lots of of good advice. Can't wait to get back out there and work on some mini whips. Will back the speed down a bit as well and see how that works. I was also thinking about taking off my wing possibly?
  23. I am just freskiing at 15 off. No actual pylon so I was thinking of mounting on windshield facing back or somewhere off the back of the boat.
