1st post in a legit discussion so go easy on me :) I'm a open water free skier who likes to make some spray and push hard. Been slalom skiing for ~20 years but just got a proper boat (MC X-14) to ski behind so thinking much more about technique and gear - hence finding this site! Typically sking at 32mph and 15-22' off, which I realize doesn't mean as much if you aren't in the course. I'm currently on some Connelly stoker bindings but wondering if the OB4 system might be a safer system and a way to step into a boot binding. I'm just not sure if my level/ skill is in need of the OB4 or if it will be more trouble than it's worth. Knock on wood the Connelly wraps have done me right and always released when needed, however all my reading on here make me realize that you can get hurt in any binding. I've done the searching and reading on here and saw the posts between @Horton and others about the OB4 being too advanced for a newb whereas others saying it might be even better for a newb given the random crashes that might occur. Thanks for the help!
