  1. @Horton show us the quants. Absent hard data specifics cannot be confirmed. Sure we can all agree changes likely take place over time, but again specifically what when and why seem elusive at best. If the industry has data it should be made known. As again absent data it’s all admittedly speculation, meaning nobody really knows…. pandas….. meh
  2. Re- reading all of this again…..the simple answer is nobody knows . A lot of speculation, guesses, one metric comments, logical assumptions, anecdotal experiences, etc., but zero hard quants on multiple key metrics that support even a loose consistent lifespan model of any kind. I find that surprising from the industry considering a high level of consistency in modern manufacturing processes, and materials, yet the absence of data may also reflect a common reality that data may show very little degradation, which of course is not good for promoting buy new. Who knows…. Again the only constant here from reading is we don’t know.
  3. @skibrain a nice classic green Hexcel. Rare indeed
  4. @tjs1295 My main message was older boats with our older 5.7 GM and Fords don't have to worry about this motor market wrinkle as for the most part we're just skiing the heck out of these great old slalom tractors and are more than happy to simply rebuild them back to stock after a zillion hours or a simple crate motor install. Yes this is the PP/Zbox crowd too that also doesn't feel we're missing a huge part of the modern world without Zero Off and Surepath as most of our crowd are not competing at levels where those are essential. Life is much less expensive, and simpler in this space.
  5. Another reason to LOVE old boats....... This is nuts
  6. Expecting we’ll be seeing a lot more from her forward . Very impressive
  7. Looks like a screaming deal at only 2.25M . If only I had an extra 5
  8. What speed are u skiing? At slow speeds a longer ski will be needed to achieve similar performance to a shorter ski at higher speeds. Just starting out again, I’d definitely have you consider a 67 also. Some skis are absolutely terrible at slow speeds but come alive at higher speeds and shorter lines. Bottom line I wouldn’t be committed to only a 66 . Ride the longest ski you can effectively turn . The works best is on a 67 and he weighs same or less than you
  9. There are dozens of pool service companies in every area of Fl. It’s the #1 task homeowners sub out. = 0 PITA
  10. Calif is another planet for most things
  11. IMO - 3500 sq ft seems small for a 5/5 house
  12. +1 for mikro-just. Outstanding product, will last a lifetime, obviously practical. Just do it.
  13. Wildcard- consider the dual front lace tfactor rear. The dual front laces provide a lot of latitude in how tight or loose you want the rear. Can also go up a size for extra flexibility if desired. Mine is tight enough for support but I can still lift my heel with ball of the foot pressure . Food for thought …..
  14. To my knowledge ALL the manufacturers rely heavily on input from their team skiers in the development and evolution of their skis. The “design team” at any shop will have a lead and I’m confident Radar is no exception. The very recent BOS post of the TWBC podcast Tony did with Joel Howley is a great example, as Joel notes he’d receive packages of 3-4,skis at a time to test with tweaks he and others had suggested - he’d send feedback, more skis arrive, etc The HO design team folks all take input from their skiers as several other interviews and statements have also stated. Read prior discussions between Dave and Regina on Goode design changes, D3 gets lots of feedback. Kudos to Radar and Chris Rossi galore for their 2024 design . Dream teams always have great leaders
  15. KLP was always a solo artist to my knowledge. King of the slalom world in my day
  16. @herseyjsomewhere here I saw a recent closeup of Joel's rear boot fabrication. Maybe it as even in the Bob Marley piece..... . It's definitely a chop job though that works for Joel . You'll agree when you see it. If I find it I'll bring it back here but check there
  17. Joel's is completely fabricated I believe. Not sure what Cole is running.
  18. Gotta be folks on Lake Wylie and Norman.........................
  19. @Beezer - Wow - that's quite a testimonial. Sure your last name isn't Caldwell or Cord? 😂
  20. So you’re up a full pass in 10 days? And it’s all ski? What line did you pick up?
  21. motion activated Halloween monsters work great...........
