You need to pull the course tight by moving the anchor or adjusting the cable if you’ve got it set up that way. With our course we have a line floating up from each anchor with a float 3 or 4 feet underwater. Occasionally we need to move the anchor to get the course right again, we just hang onto the anchor line and pull it away from the course to tighten up and straighten it out.

So the course is in, you just need to put the bouys on it? If that’s the case, you just need to fish up the cable and swim down the course with a life jacket (Or 2) on and pull the cable up and then the PVC arms and put the bouys on. We used to pull our course every weekend and had to do that, it’s not hard to do, just need a few guys. Also, the whole UM ski team uses it and you can’t get any of them to help?

We added 55s to our course last year using the ez slalom kit, we actually added new anchors for the 55s too, so we have 2 anchors on each end. Worked out awesome. Any radar boots will fit on that plate, the vapor boots are basically an upgraded newer version of the Stradas.

Why not just pull the intake hose and hook a hose up to it, works great on any inboard boat I’ve seen.

Pretty great community of skiers around Indy, but no idea about Valpo. I met a bunch of guys around Indy when I was traveling there regularly for work and skied with them a number of times.

Both great products, personally I like intow and Brenda always has awesome customer service. Masterline ropes seem to twist up and wear out in a season, intow do not. I also like the knot less design where you just drop over the pylon without having to loosen the connections like Masterline.

I used to use the red ones, and when they switched to yellow ones, they didn’t fit right and the material seemed different. I switched to radar vapor boas and I’ll never go to anything else.

We have a similar setup in 40-50 ft of water, we added 55s last year by buying a kit from ez slalom, they recommended leaving the original anchors from the gates and adding 2 more anchors for the 55s. So far it’s been great, just need to make sure the anchors for the 55s are in line with the course. Takes a little adjusting to get it right. I really like the idea of the jug on the anchor line, will need to pull up anchors to do that though so It might not happen.

You bought bought used as is, 10 years old with 600 hours. While the owner was a little misleading, it’s as is.

Best bet is probably to check out ski it again, buy a ski and if you don’t like it sell it for about what you bought it for. Plenty of deals to be had on barely used skis on there.

I sold my 2010 VTX and bought a 2015 SN200. I love the 200, and put more hours on it as I ski a course on the lake I live on. My wife however still hasn’t forgiven me, she loved the VTX, but she’s not a skier. It was good for open water skiing, but was ok in the course, It didn’t track well in the course.

Liner comes out with your foot in it. Ive taken some falls with the vapor binding and the liner has never come off my foot, I’m assuming the pulse is a similar design. It does float though so I wouldn’t be worried about losing it. It would be real tough to put the liner back in and put it on properly in the water vs being on the platform provided it’s the right size for you.

One of the regulars on our lake has a 2005? response and it’s very loud in comparison to the other boats on our lake (SN196, SN200, Prostar 190). I’ll send this over to him.

If you have the ability to put it on a lift why wouldn’t you? I see boats on my lake that float all the time and the bottoms are disgusting, they start to develop a greenish brown stain that Cannot be removed easily. I know someone who used to do an acid wash at the end of the season. Some lakes have different water chemistry than others, so it can be worse depending where you are, not really a “clean” water issue as I’ve seen boats get nasty in crystal clear water. Hoists for ski boats aren’t that expensive compared to a boat, I don’t understand why anyone would not have one.

Some boats will handle totally different with weight to balance it out especially if you just have a driver and no spotter. The new prostar drives like a completely different boat with weight on the observer side. The 200 does drive a little different but not as dramatic as the prop spins the opposite way.
