  1. Are we going to see the Nautique and Mastercraft (PCM and Ilmor) move to Ford blocks as well? GM has dominated this market for years, will be interesting to see if there is a shift.
  2. I had a 2010 VTX for a few years, loved the boat for a number of reasons -spacious, comfortable, family friendly. Ski wakes were good above 32, slow it down more and it got big quick. In the course it didn’t track that well because the pylon was just in front of the engine in the back. I used to like to wakeboard but now I’m older and it just isn’t as fun sending big jumps when you get hurt. I ended up getting a pontoon for the family cruising and a 200 for skiing, and I put more hours on my 200 because I love skiing behind and so do all my ski buddies.
  3. Beware I bought a pair of boa gloves this summer that were a couple years old but brand new, lasted one set and tore away where the boa line goes through the glove. Not sure if the material dries out or what.
  4. Is this a promo shot or was he really on the senate pro for the pan-ams?
  5. I have a Phoenix trailer, never had an issue.
  6. @mbabiash the MSRP of a pro star with basic options and no trailer is $87k, so it’s actually more than the 200. I agree that most people don’t pay MSRP, so you can’t really compare the MSRP with that.
  7. Really interesting that they decided to go this route instead of making an open bow version of the new SN. Looking at the video and pics it looks like the walkthrough is gone so the seat pad in the middle of the bow sits right on fiberglass which would add storage to the bow and under the dash is all glass instead of the carpeted wood or glass it was previously. Obviously the saddle bags are gone, and the back seat is different. I’m curious what rope length you can get into without touching the tower. My dealer told me that they sat in a 200 with a tower and watched Nate Smith get into 38 without the tower being touched by the rope, this tower looks to be about in the same spot, but still behind the pylon.
  8. @DaveD I’ve skied that lake in Muncie, it’s actually a 6 ball course, one way you make a straight shot into the course, the other direction you turn into it. I was a little freaked out the first pass driving it, but it Ski’s really nice, and the guys on the lake are real cool guys.
  9. Does anyone have that diagram for a 5.7L 343 in a 2015 200?
  10. The wheel broke on mine, it’s the L4 as someone else said. Parts were free and shipped in a few days.
  11. 61 degrees in southeast Michigan this morning
  12. I think some are making this way more difficult than it needs to be. Just stand on the swim platform and have someone else winch it in if the angle of the ramp is too steep. I have a 2015 200 on a Phoenix trailer and I’ve never really had an issue with the ramps I use, the roller is just under the bow usually.
  13. Live webcast of finals up now at nautiquebigdawg.com
  14. Why did you put that weird heel cup on there?
  15. Boa fell off my vapor binding today
  16. The prostar handles completely different with weight under the observer seat, or a passenger. I’d try that before you grind. I know guys are changing the attachment point on the rudder to make the steering more sensitive as well. Really crazy that they don’t just put an adjustable tab on the rudder, as others said Nautique has been doing that for 20 years.
  17. I used to use the red 41 tails, I got a yellow pair and like everyone else said, they just weren’t the same. I tried the legends but they got a hole real quick. Now I’m trying a pair of the vapor boas, I do like cinching the glove down. The gloves are good, but still not perfect, especially for the price tag. I’m not sure I buy the inside out construction, it seems to make it bulky on the outside, I never noticed seams on the inside so I I didn’t see a reason for them to change it.
  18. Looks awesome! Any feedback from the few that have ridden it? When will it be available for purchase?
  19. Beautiful boat! Congrats!!! Great to hear first hand reports on these boats vs all the people that want to give their uneducated opinion without ever even skiing or driving one.
  20. I agree, I have an in-tow rope and have Brenda put in extra loops, it really helps when trying to get to the next length
  21. I used to have a 2010 Malibu VTX before I made the jump to a DD. It was good for free skiing as long as you were 32 mph or faster. Once I started skiing in the course I decided to get a DD because it didn’t track real well and I was spending 90% of my time skiing so it made sense for me to get a 200.
  22. Right below rub rail, domed numbers is amazing, perfect match for the manufacturer font and the rubberized lettering looks great.
  23. Have had good luck with HO 41 tails, but recently tried a pair of the radar boa gloves. 2 sets and they blew open on the back across one of the sleeves for the boa. Dealer sent back to Radar but haven’t heard anything yet. They seemed to fit great though. I hope Radar stands behind their product.
