  1. Low scores one week and people pile on Nautique, but then great scores the next and must not be legit neither based on any sort of real evidence, and the opinion coming from people affiliated with MasterCraft. Can’t people admit that both companies make great boats? It makes this place insufferable sometimes.
  2. The RTP is not what’s causing you not to get up. If you tried to go to a double boot it would most likely be harder for you to get up. As others have suggested, try with your foot out and drag it behind you for balance. I’d also try a wider ski. It could also be the driver either giving you too much power and pulling you over the front or less likely they aren’t giving you enough power.
  3. I priced out a prostar with the 6L engine and nicely equipped and MSRP is $118k, Base MSRP for the Ski Nautique (includes most options and 6.0) is $105k. When you actually price out these boats with MSRP the ProStar is actually MORE expensive. If you go to a dealer and price out a new SN and a new Prostar I'm betting the actual prices you can get will be very close. Now if you are trying to compare the price of a used or promo prostar to a factory new SN from a dealer then yes of course there is going to be a discrepancy, but you're not comparing apples to apples.
  4. I went to a 200 OB from a Malibu VTX V Drive. It’s smaller for sure but the way it drives and skis in the course make it worth it. I don’t think it will feel any smaller than a 197, it will probably actually feel roomier. The saddle bags are nice to get stuff off the floor. I’m on public water and I’ve never dunked the bow. I have come close though. I did buy a pontoon about the same time so anytime we go to hang out with a lot of people we take the toon.

  7. I tried to go from RTP to the HRTP last year and didn’t like it. I’ve never run double boots so it was uncomfortable for me and I didn’t like my back foot locked in like that. I have a size 9 foot that’s pretty wide and I kicked into it no problem at all. Everyone has their preference so it might be great for someone else.
  8. You’ll pay a premium this year because it’s new and there aren’t many on the market. Next year I would bet a new one would be within range of a similarly equipped prostar. I priced out a prostar with the 6L engine and nicely equipped and MSRP is $118k, Base MSRP without adding any options (no stereo, no trailer, no rear seats, no bow cover, no cover, no carpet, no mirror, no heater, 5.7L) is $78,570. When you actually price out these boats with MSRP they are very close in cost.
  9. Maybe you’re overthinking it. Push it off trailer and use a paddle to get past the “pile”. As long as the boat can float over it, there shouldn’t be a problem.
  10. I had a handle pop into my 2016 Lithium Vapor, I used marine epoxy then sanded it smooth, can’t tell a difference in how it skis. I’d take @eddie_roberts_jr up on his offer though, he’s a legend in ski making so he will make it right.
  11. Friend has a 15 prostar and has a similar issue, it’s like a totally different boat with a passenger or 100 lbs under observer seat. There is an option on the prostar for a ballast tank under the passenger seat, I’d highly recommend it if you ski without a spotter frequently. The Nautiques don’t have much of an issue because the prop turns the opposite way.
  12. @liquid d people are just trying to find something, anything wrong with the boat so they can justify what they have, it’s kind of sad. Some people just can’t admit that it’s a sweet boat, they instead just nitpick. People did the same thing with the prostar...
  13. I tried to go to HRTP from an RTP, and your foot will slide right out no problem, nothing to worry about. I ended up staying with RTP but it wasn’t because of how it released, just a preference.
  14. I have a boost as well, the neck is a little long but it’s not noticeable at all once you get in the water. I’d ski with it a couple times and see if it bothers you while skiing. I find the neoprene to be much more comfortable than the latex around the neck.
  15. A guy I ski with completely shattered his ankle last year on a reflex with a low release setting and an RTP. I ski on a vapor binding and have for years, I’ve taken some nasty OTF falls and always release when I should.
  16. Get one of these, I had my son on one at 2 or 3 and then on skis that tie together at 4. Just look up Ski tube trainer.
  17. @"Keith Menard" yes, power fold rear seats like the Escalade, has the 6.2L V8 too, pulls a ski boat like it’s nothing.
  18. For sale if anyone is interested
  19. @"Keith Menard" I have a 2016 Denali for sale if you’re interested. Basically the same truck as the Escalade, white 6.2L engine and every option imaginable. Send me a message if you’re interested.
  20. @Delonous I’ll for sure make a donation, also as mentioned above you might want to do docks and hoists as a fundraiser, I’d be happy to pay you to put in my dock and hoists (about an hour from East Lansing), I’d also throw in a pull behind my 200.
  21. Some of you people need to get a grip, complaining about innovation that makes the wake better because of some hypothetical situation where a driver doesn’t change the setting. Complaining about price before the boat is really on the market. Tough crowd to please.
  22. Really cool styling and features. Looks like a ton of thought and design went into making the softest wake they could. I wonder if/when an open bow version will be released. I just got a new 200, 2 years ago so I won't be due for a new boat for a long time, but I would never buy a closed bow boat (I have 2 young kids).
  23. I’m guessing it will be exspensive, but they still Have to be competitive with the response and prostar. The MSRP on these boats are out of control, but they considerably more reasonable a year old as demos or promos, that tells you what you need to know about the true cost to the dealer.
